Story Times and Nursery Rhymes is a song about MOTHERHOOD. We, as moms, watch our children grow, and while that's the goal I have found it to be so bittersweet. I haven't been blessed with grandchildren yet, but I can only imagine how special it will be to meet the children of my children...

Singing oh so softly gently rocking in a chair
In that quiet moment she was lost without a care
Her sleeping newborn baby was resting in her hands
A whole new world of memories just waiting to begin
There'll be
Story times and nursery rhymes hugs and kisses for the night
Fireflies and pony rides with giggles of delight
God blessed her world so beautifully, leaving footprints in her mind
Leading to that special moment those young wings would take to flight
Sitting on the back porch gently rocking in a chair
In that quiet moment she was lost without a care
Pictures from a shoebox were resting in her hands
Caught up in the memory her motherhood began
And the
Story times and nursery rhymes hugs and kisses for the night
Fireflies and pony rides with giggles of delight
God blessed her world so beautifully, leaving footprints in her mind
Bittersweet was the moment those young wings would take to flight
Singing oh so softly gently rocking in a chair
In that quiet moment she was lost without a care
Her sleeping newborn grandchild was resting in her hands
A whole new world of memories just waiting to begin
There'll be
Story times and nursery rhymes hugs and kisses for the night
Fireflies and pony rides with giggles of delight
God blessed her world so beautifully, leaving footprints in her mind
Leading to that special moment those young wings would take to flight
Let Us Pray is a song of hope in the midst of illness. Inspired by my own experience with my son's illness - a survivor of childhood cancer - it is my prayer that this song will minister to those searching for the rock to stand on in seemingly sinking sand....

In room 325 her son is sleeping tonight
It's been a long year, a long fight for his life
She's looking for strength hard to find anymore
A tender kiss on the cheek and she slips out the door
Down the hall on the left she sees a chapel and then
Holds her breath takes a chance and slowly walks in
Kneeling at the front row sees these words on a note
Tucked in a bible - offering some hope
Let us pray to the One
Who brings comfort to the soul
Let us pray to the One
Who heals and makes us whole
We don't know about tomorrow
Lord see us through today
In the precious name of Jesus
Let us pray
Somehow she'd forgotten all about amazing grace
But it's all comin back now - how to have a little faith
Finally letting go of the burden she'd held onto
Finally knowing God would see them through
Let us pray to the One
Who brings comfort to the soul
Let us pray to the One
Who heals and makes us whole
We don't know about tomorrow
Lord see us through today
In the precious name of Jesus
Let us pray to the One
Who brings comfort to the soul
Let us pray to the One
Who heals and makes us whole
We don't know about tomorrow
Lord see us through today
In the precious name of Jesus
Let us pray
