Tom recently shared with Radio Promoter Wendell Gafford his thoughts on "Rain Down": 2007 was year of growth as God taught me the importance of knowing who I am in Him. Learning to not be defined by my own failures and insecurities, or by how I (or others) perceive me, but instead to be fully content in my own skin, was the lesson of the year. As I processed through this, I discovered a new level of freedom and a new depth of worship. One day, as I was driving in my truck, I was considering this lesson and began to wonder what worship might look like if we could see beyond our flesh with spiritual eyes. As I drove I began to write down words that became the first verse and chorus of "Rain Down".
Tom's last release "Hope is Alive" was produced by Michael Aukofer, and features 11 songs and special guest appearances by award winning artists, Phil Keaggy and Mitch McVicker. Hope is Alive is available from Tom's website www.tomfrye.net or digitally at i-tunes and many other digital sites. With a passion for helping believers and seekers alike better understand just how much they are loved by God, Tom writes songs that both tell a story and help usher people into an attitude of worship. According to Tom; "So often in our walk with Jesus, we settle for visitation rights when we have an all out father-child relationship available to us."
Tom's desire is that the church would awaken to it's full potential and actively start living Jesus in every moment of every day, in order that the truth of the Gospel may be demonstrated in the life of each believer. One way Tom and his family invests Jesus into the lives of others is through their ministry partnership with World Vision. As a World Vision Artist Associate, Tom's ministy helps desparately poor people experience Jesus' love in action, by receiving both physical and spiritual assistance.
