just wanted to say i was thinking about 'all eyes on you, Lord' today for some reason, and Tupac, and how you turned those lyrics around (from 'me' to 'You Lord') and how great that is. you kind of co-opted the song and totally did a 180 with it, made it the Truth.
his life was cut short by violence - but in his later songs he seemed to mellow some, talking about how great his mom was and i always had the feeling that he was going to change, maybe change his heart, become a good role model. i know of his stuff b/c my daughter was way into the heavy street rap (eg biggie, lil kim, tupac, etc for a long time)
Anyway...all that to say i have introduced a lot of non-Christian teensters who like rap, to your music. they like the beat and the sound, and then they hear the words and you can see the comprehension on their faces. and they're like: THAT's your Jesus music??! lol.
so, you've impacted more ppl than you probably know, with your witnessing.
and for some reason i am feeling called to pray for you right now, so i am. i hope you are getting good rest, not being drawn and worn by this world, and that your weekend will be a blessed one! ....snow
