Why was "The Solid Rock Radio" created?
The Solid Rock Radio came into existence to fill a huge vacuum in the Christian Music/Radio industry. After spending a couple of years in the Christian Radio Industry and finding out that most programmers aim their product at women age 25-55, TSRR General Manager Brett Zion began to notice most Christian men listen to secular Classic Rock Stations offered by local broadcast or satellite providers. And, who can blame them since most of the decision makers in the Christian markets don't even offer a product desirable to the majority of young to middle aged males.
It is our belief here at bbz Communications that there needs to be an alternative. Something out there that men (and women) can tune into and still hear the style of music they like without the compromising lyrics in much of what the secular industry offers.
