Southern Gospel music with songs by artists like The Happy Goodman Family, The Hinsons, The Rambos, and many others. We also feature original material written by our own Rick Davis (be sure and listen to song #2 on the Shoutlife Music Player "Look For Me On The Corner", written by Rick, sung by David). Pimp My Profile
Hi! Welcome to the Shoutlife page for The Mercy River Band. Our desire is to share the Good News of the Gospel through our vocal and musical talent as we sing and play Southern Gospel Music.
The Mercy River Band of Chattanooga, TN , was formed in July 2006 after three musicians (drummer, steel guitarist, bassist) met through a Southern Gospel website. While looking for a keyboard player, we also found a terrific vocalist and songwriter, Rick Davis.
With a vision of forming a Southern Gospel-style musical group (with a live band - the way it used to be) reminiscent of many of those who influenced us (Happy Goodmans, Hinsons, Rambos, and many others), the good Lord quickly put us together with our other capable vocalists, David and Judy Cochran.
So, along with Judy, David, and Rick, Allan Roark (our drummer), Jim Davis (our steel guitarist), and Charley Garner (our bass player), thank you for stopping by, listening to our music, and saying hello. We hope to meet you soon at a Mercy River Band concert.
Feel free to stop by as often as you'd like. Please make sure you sign our guestbooks. We like to hear from our friends and know where you're from.
