Gaylon and Rebecca were married in a small town in Oregon. They were both raised in Christian homes and were saved at an early age. They moved to Florida in 1985 and still reside there. Both, Gaylon and Rebecca have a musical background. As of July 2006, The Calloways are a full time Gospel Music Ministry. The Calloways love to help and participate in their community and church activities. God called them into the music ministry in the of 2000, and He has blessed them abundantly. In 2003, the Calloways traveled to Hendersonville, Tennessee where they recorded their first project at Daywind Studio. In June of 2004, the Calloways released their fist single, "Lord Make Me A Blessing", written by Hazel Jernigan of Jay, Florida. The song hit the Country Gospel charts at #9 and has received great response. The Calloways have been nominated for numerous awards since they started their ministry in 2000. The Calloways write most of their songs and they seem to be welcomed by everyone that hears them. Rebecca was voted Most Promising Traditional Gospel Song Writer for 2005 by the North American Country Music Association International. Also in 2005 they released another project called "In His Manison" which has 12 songs all written the them. In 2006 The Calloways produced an album called "Southern Country Gospel Friends", featuring 5 artist including themselves. In May of 2007 they released a new song called "This Glory Train" out of Branson, Missouri.
The Calloways are members of The Central Alabama Southern Gospel Music Association and attend church at Pine Level Baptist Church, Jay, Florida.
They plan to continue traveling and spreading the word of God through testimony and song across the USA. "To us a song is a sermon and we are so glad that God chose us to carry out His word though music".

Today, I sought a word from God to share with my SL family and friends, and came across this fabulous version of a timely word from Romans 8:34-39...I pray this blesses and encourages you as much as it did for me!

With God on our side like this, how can we lose? If God didn't hesitate to put everything on the line for us, embracing our condition and exposing himself to the worst by sending his own Son, is there anything else he wouldn't gladly and freely do for us? And who would dare tangle with God by messing with one of God's chosen? Who would dare even to point a finger? The One who died for us?who was raised to life for us!?is in the presence of God at this very moment sticking up for us. Do you think anyone is going to be able to drive a wedge between us and Christ's love for us? There is no way! Not trouble, not hard times, not hatred, not hunger, not homelessness, not bullying threats, not backstabbing, not even the worst sins listed in Scripture:
They kill us in cold blood because they hate you.
We're sitting ducks; they pick us off one by one.
None of this fazes us because Jesus loves us. I'm absolutely convinced that nothing?nothing living or dead, angelic or demonic, today or tomorrow, high or low, thinkable or unthinkable?absolutely nothing can get between us and God's love because of the way that Jesus our Master has embraced us.

Something to contemplate over the next few days (Good Friday through Resurrection Day)...
1 Corinthians 15:55-57 - The Message (MSG)
But let me tell you something wonderful, a mystery I'll probably never fully understand. We're not all going to die?but we are all going to be changed. You hear a blast to end all blasts from a trumpet, and in the time that you look up and blink your eyes?it's over. On signal from that trumpet from heaven, the dead will be up and out of their graves, beyond the reach of death, never to die again. At the same moment and in the same way, we'll all be changed. In the resurrection scheme of things, this has to happen: everything perishable taken off the shelves and replaced by the imperishable, this mortal replaced by the immortal. Then the saying will come true:
Death swallowed by triumphant Life!
Who got the last word, oh, Death?
Oh, Death, who's afraid of you now?
It was sin that made death so frightening and law-code guilt that gave sin its leverage, its destructive power. But now in a single victorious stroke of Life, all three?sin, guilt, death?are gone, the gift of our Master, Jesus Christ. Thank God!
