Evidence of Grace (2007)
A murder conviction sent Sally Blake's killer to prison. Nearly thirty years after that fateful night, a phone call from a potential eyewitness may prove the wrong person is serving time for the crime. But what would drive someone to plead guilty to another man's crime? Noel Wyatt enlists the help of a young attorney, and David Davis, the retired judge who once prosecuted the case, to put all the pieces of the puzzle together. If an eyewitness exists, where has he been for the last thirty years? Is it possible the killer did not act alone? Is that person covering up for the real killer? What evidence does the eyewitness have that might overthrow a murder conviction? Will justice come too late for the person convicted of Sally's murder?

I quit work in 1999 to focus fulltime on my writing career. How the Lord has blessed me since that moment. I believe the most important thing a person needs before deciding to pursue a writing career is a spouse with a steady paycheck and a medical plan. Thanks to the Lord's provision and my #1 fan, my husband Ralph, I hit the ground running. In 2004 my first book, Streams of Mercy was published through Tsaba House. Since then I have published four more novels for the Christian market with a few more waiting in the wings. I recently signed with literary agent, Terry Burns, and believe some major changes are coming to my writing career. I'm going to shine in '09.
Writing was a dream of mine since I was just a kid scribbling in a notebook I hid behind my textbook during class. Reading was and still is my first love. I am currently looking for a job where someone will pay me to read books at my leisure. Since that isn't likely to happen, I'll keep writing and read as I find the time.
My husband and I have a blended family of three children and three grandchildren. We also share our home with a foreign exchange student from Japan and two rescue dogs, Angel and Molly. Since acquiring Angel, I have become a huge advocate of animal rescue and am always sneaking messages about the importance of animal rescue into my fiction.

MAY YOU ALWAYS HAVE LOVE JOY AND PEACE!
What is your greatest concern in life?! What is the one thing in life that causes your heart to cry out for it most passionately? What is your first thought each morning? What is that one thing that makes your heart soar higher than all other things? In Luke 10:41-42 Martha was all wrapped up in serving God according to the customs of her day. She was all engrossed in and driven by worldly distractions and appearances. So much so that she was frustrated that Mary would not leave her chosen desire to help her fulfill hers. She requested of the Lord that He command Mary to leave His presence and join her in her worry and upset that the details of worldly protocol might be viewed as less than perfect.
In all actuality Martha was wrapped up in and indulging the desire of her flesh. (Just think of it, her request of God was, "Lord, make Mary do what I want instead of what you have commanded of her." Martha knew of the command to put God first. All the Israelites knew this commandment) However, Mary had chosen to obey it and refused to be distracted from that which held her heart spell-bound and enraptured with joy! The pleasure of Christ presence was so dear to her that the world could not rob her of that which she derived from sitting captivated at His feet. Mary understood that in God's presence there is pleasure, provision and protection. See Psalm 91; 16:11. And she was not going to miss out on that for anything the world could demand of or offer her.
God wants His children to learn that the greatest truth in life is that seeking Him first will put everything else in the proper perspective. And keep you always in His presence. See Matthew 6:33. There is one most interesting thing about God, He never tells His people to worry. In fact He forbids it in His family. Philippians 4:6-7, Psalm 37:8. He tells us to seek His presence, to put Him and His kingdom's welfare first, to behold His beauty and inquire of Him concerning His perfect will and plan of us. 1 Chronicles 28:9. And when we do this, when trouble comes our way, (and it will surely come) He will hide us in His pavilion, in His secret place. He will place us high upon the rock of our salvation where trouble must flee and the warmth of His love will comfort, protect and provide all of our needs according to the riches of His glory. See Psalm 27:4-5; Philippians 4:19. This is not merely a theory to be debated but a reality to be experienced.
Many are the stumbling blocks that are set before each of us to keep us from God's presence. Because, that is where peace abounds and blessings flow. Christ has freed us from the curse of the law, but He has not freed us from the obligation of living according to or by it. Therefore, seek His face, and He will teach you His ways. And lead you in a smooth path, because it is only He who knows all the onslaughts, and ambushes of your enemies. Psalm See 27:11. Copyright © Sylvia F. Liani 2009

Hi, Teresa: Thanks for your kind note. It looks like a couple of your titles are in the 'crime' category (roughly speaking) and that's what I'm writing these days. BLEEDER (Sophia Institute Press) will be out in August and I'm working on the sequel (I have, like, four working titles for it but I usually call it VIPER). The strange thing about it is that it features a minor character from the first book as the protagonist, insurance agent Selena De La Cruz. I find her fascinating - and it is a new challenge for me to write from a woman's perspective. I have some female readers who check on my work-in-progress and tell me if I'm getting it right.
Grace and peace,

CELL PHONE VS... BIBLE
Ever wonder what would happen if we treated our Bible like we treat our cell phone?
What if we carried it around in our purses or pockets?
What if we flipped through it several times a day?
What if we turned back to go get it if we forgot it?
What if we used it to receive messages from the text?
What if we treated it like we couldn't live without it?
What if we gave it to Kids as gifts?
What if we used it when we travel
What if we used it in case of emergency?
This is something to make you go.....hmm...where is my Bible?
Oh, and one more thing. Unlike our cell phone, we don't have to worry about our Bible being disconnected because Jesus already paid the bill.
Makes you stop and think, 'where are my priorities?
Trust in the Lord and remember when you place a call to God's throne the line is never busy! And there are no dropped calls! He is calling you, is your line open to receive His message.
Have a blessed and wonderful day!
When Jesus died on the cross, he was thinking of you!
If you are one of the 7% who will stand up for Him, forward this.
Be a pearl among the swine and pass this on. It is believed by most that 93% of people won't forward this type of message.

Popping in to wish you a happy day filled with all that makes your face smile and your heart sing for joy!
BECAUSE YOU SAY SO!!!!
THE GRASS WITHERS AND FLOWER FALLS BUT THE WORD OF GOD STANDS FOREVER!!! TRUST HIM!!!
Jesus was down by the lake of Gennesaret one day ministering the word of God to the multitudes when they, eager to hear His words, became so great that they were pressing in against Him. Therefore, looking for a better why to speak to the people, Jesus saw two boats and the fishermen from those boats near by cleaning their nets. So He got into the boat belonging to Simon Peter and asks him to push off a little ways from shore so He could sit down and teach the people more effectively.
When Jesus finished speaking to the people, He spoke directly to Peter! He said to Him go out into the deeper water and let down your nets for a catch. Jesus a carpenter instructs this experienced fishermen, who had been fishing all night with out so much as a fish being caught in the nets. Peter considered himself to be quite knowledgeable about how to catch fish. And he wanted Jesus to understand that this was his field of expertise and that His advice made no sense to a skillful practicing fisherman who had fished in this very lake exhaustively all night with absolutely no success. However, in spite of what he knew to be true about fishing, he said, "BECAUSE YOU SAY SO, I will let down the nets again!" Because Peter was willing to forego his experience and knowledge of fishing and responded actively to Jesus instructions he experienced miraculous supernatural results. Results exceedingly abundantly more than he could even think to ask for. From this one act of obedience to God's word Peter had to call for help, and even with the help of another boat and crew they were still beginning to sink under the abundance of God's blessing. God is God of more than enough!
When we let down our own nets of faith into the flowing river of God's Spirit filled words, heaven moves into action and supernatural things happen on earth. We are favored and have unique responsibilities, in Christ, concerning the function of God's kingdom working on earth as it does in heaven. But how successfully we fulfill our calling in Christ depends on our willingness to do what He says despite what we think we know in the natural. See Luke 5;1-9. Jesus says, "But why do you call Me 'Lord, Lord,' and not do (practice, implement, put to use) the things which I say? See Luke 6:46. Here in lies the abundant life. (Parenthesis added) Copyright © Sylvia F. Liani 2009
May you always find a rainbow at the end of all your rainy days!
Sending big hugs and smiles your way!!!
