For those of you who want to know more about me, here is my "official" bio. :) Happy reading! :) "Tara has a genuine heart for ministering to the church and an exceptional voice for just such a purpose," is how Camp Kirkland describes Tara Jackson. Born in Louisville, Kentucky, and raised just outside of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Tara grew up in a ministry oriented family. With both of her parents actively involved in the church music ministry, Tara was raised with not only a love for music, but a love for the Lord. At a young age, she began singing duets with her mother, and became actively involved in the children's choir. During her childhood, God used these experiences and other defining moments to plant a desire in her heart to deliver His message through music. Throughout high school, being a part of state and national choral programs, along with involvement in an organization ministering to students about abstinence and dating, Tara began to clearly see the path God was beginning to define for her future ministry. However, the passion she feels for her ministry today became deeply rooted in her college years at Appalachian State University, where she took a position in the music ministry at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church in Boone, North Carolina. One of her most memorable experiences while at Appalachian State University came through singing and ministering at Hebron Colony, a Christian recovery center for alcohol and drug addiction. Here, God used her voice to minister to the hearts of the program participants. More recently, Tara has become involved with The Bridge Ministry in Nashville, TN. This ministry was founded in 2004 by Candy Christmas to reach out to the homeless and low-income population of Nashville and the greater metro area. At least twice a week, Tara faithfully sings with Candy and other local gospel artists for the Bridge Ministry. "Every week we encounter new people who have never been told that Jesus loves them and that we love them. Each and every week, I am amazed at how God moves among the forgotten people of our community, and changes lives right in front of our eyes." Tara's love for the Lord and her desire to see people's lives changed by God exceeds even her vocal talent. Tara aspires to make music that will reach to the heart of every individual, to see people's lives changed by the power of God. She says, "I am committed to sharing Christ, and living my life as a testimony of how greatly God can use His children to share His love."

Hey Tara - thanks for your message. It was such a sweet night and what an amazing outreach to those precious people with big big needs...especially the need of Christ. Loved it. And loved the servant hearts. God bless you and your journey always.

Hey girl! Just was stopping by to show some love, give a shout out or however else you want to say it. lol I read your article about Journey's song, "Don't Stop Believin'".. first off.. FAB song.. love it. One of my favorite bands & songs. Second, I hadn't really paid a whole lot of attention to the lyrics, but it totally tied in with your ministry! I thought it was great! I just love how music can touch so many in so many different ways. I love it and I enjoyed your article. I hope you're having a fantastic day. Talk to you soon!!
Tara,
I wanted to stop in and say "Hi!" and add you to my new friend's list. I've had a ministry change (previously AsOne Ministries) and am now with my husband, Jay, as Gracesong Ministries. We're just getting started but we're looking forward to what the Lord has in store for us! God Bless, Sandy

Hey girl!!! Speaking of looking good....love the new (well...not brand new, but new since we talked) pics you did with Kim Lancaster. She (as always) is the bomb. Love hearing "Wonder Working Power" on Solid Gospel, they be liking them some Tara! Take care, God bless, and stay in touch...congrats on all your success!!
Hey Tara,
Please give me the information on the So Gospel News Fan Festival in Smyrna. I would love to come and see if a friend will come as well. I have the date and time, but do not know where it will be. Do you have an address and can anyone come? I enjoyed last Tuesday night. God is working in such an incredible way down there.
Well sign me up! Who needs real money anyways?? I'll hope on a plane and be right now. I've always wanted to move to the south anyways so this will be my perfect excuse! lol Oh, I so gotta read how you incorporated Journey into your article! I can't imagine how the two tie in to each other. :)
So, are in full-time ministry? If so, how long have you been full-time, if you don't mind me asking.
Well hey, I'm looking for a job so I'll be your personal assistant! LOL Ya know, I actually think that could be fun! :D Anyway, Yes! I'm one in the same! I rarely come on shoutlife tho. Do you come on here more than myspace?
I've not written my article yet! Ugh, long story short, the article I was suppose to have for last month got trapped in my laptop and the motherboard went down, so I'm hoping and praying I'll get it back so I can use that article for this month.(It was like a two-parter.) So, if you don't tell Rob, neither will I! HA HA!
Ok, so seriously girl..how do you juggle everything? Singing, traveling, marriage, Bridge Ministry, writing articles?? (And I'm sure you've got other stuff you're into too) You're like super woman! lol I'm completely impressed. :)
Tara, It was a blessing to meet so many people that I have chatted with in the past but never met. I have been meeting so many wonderful people of God and it's a major blessing.
I know that God will always be laying blessings upon you and your ministry.
I recently had to back out of Cave City. Long story but it's the best.
