Hey, y'all!
I'm so thrilled to discover this site, and look forward to making lots of new friends.
A little about me:
Grew up in the south, and moved to Iowa in my teens. I was blessed to be raised in a Christian home, and accepted Christ as my Savior at an early age. He is my all in all and keeps me going each and every day!
Music is a big part of my life, and I actually taught piano for many years. Right now, I'm taking a break from that and am working at a Christian bookstore in the small town where I live. It's been really fun so far. As you can see from the picture, I also like to fiddle around a bit. :)
One of my favorite passages in the Bible:
If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose. ~Phil. 2:1-2
Thanks for stopping by and reading this. Have a blessed day serving our great LORD!

If you haven't seen this one yet, please do. It's wonderful!
I went to see this movie a couple days ago, and was very impressed. It has a pro-life message, which of course the pro-choice groups aren't happy about. In addition to having a grea...

Just started reading this book by Chris Tiegreen. It's so good! The subtitle is "Engaging your emotions against evil", and the main point of what I've read so far is that we need to shake off our passive mindset when it comes to prayer. Our enemy ...

My family and I went to see the movie, Amazing Grace Friday night. It was very well done, and so inspiring! The main actor does his own singing of the song, and he had a great voice. The best part of the story is how he felt an incredible pull toward...

Last week, we had a book-signing at the bookstore where I work. The author, a widow of one of the victims of Sept. 11th (from the World Trade Center), has written two books about how the Lord brought her through the pain and to Himself as a result o...

Just finished reading Wild at Heart by John Eldredge, and was challenged by the way he portrays God as full of passionate wildness and adventure. (Like C.S. Lewis wrote in the Chronicles of Narnia, "Safe? Who said anything about safe? 'Course he isn'...
