ShoutLife.com is provided as a free service to all members: personal, music artist, comedy, author and organization. However, this website has many costs associated with it. Since we receive and accept donations, we would like to share more information about the real costs associated with running ShoutLife.com: Web Server Hosting Costs - We are contracted with a local Internet Service Provider to host our servers. They provide server support and do what is necessary to keep our servers up and running at all times. As we grow our hardware environment, we are charged more on a monthly basis. Bandwidth - This is a very expensive line item as we receive an INCREDIBLE amount of traffic on this website. Everything from viewing pictures to streaming MP3s increases the necessity of having a lot of available bandwidth. Growth and Expansion - We continually need to purchase additional software and hardware that will allow us to support our growing traffic. These expenses include our web software (Cold Fusion MX 7 Enterprise) and our clustered server environment that helps share computer processing, memory and hard drive space. The clustered environment also provides us with backup solutions in case of a hardware failure. Bottom Line: The four of us that operate ShoutLife.com are VERY committed to keeping this site up and running as a 100% free website. We have invested thousands of our own dollars and countless hours into creating and maintaining this website. On a monthly basis, this website also requires thousands of dollars to be operational, and we would be very grateful if you would consider supporting ShoutLife.com financially!
