Hello I David Kelsey and the owner of Soul Joy Records (est 1999) and Blue Boot Studio (est 2006). Soul Joy Records L.L.C. is the home of great ministry music of all styles. Some are here on shoutlife but we encourage you to go by our main site at www.souljoyrecords.com and check out the ministry music of the great bands we have been blessed with. Soul Joy is an indpendent record lable and works with bands who have a heart to work as independents. The label is also working with Abundent Life Booking Agency and will soon be working with a new video producion company.

I have spent many years doing concert outreaches with friends and lots of different groups. Soul Joy Records is dedicated to not only music but the ministry of the groups on our label. Ministry through Music has been our slogan since 1999 and an important part of the belief system in place.
My interest in Christian music is strongly supported by its influence in my life for the past 25 years. Music is ministry and not just entertainment. I burned eveything I owned in secular music before I became a Christian. I found backwords masking on a song by a group and was so upset that someone would mess with my head that I got rid of it all. Then I went looking and found Christian music. It was a song that brought me to Christ. That song made me see myself and His love. I have listened only to Christian music since then and will only listen to the same the rest of my life. Music can reach across to anyone with the love of Christ. Any style of music can make a difference. There is no style of music that cannot be used for God's glory. It is more important that the person who is singing the song and playing the music love Christ. I don't want to ever see Soul Joy lose its focus and make the music more inportant than the ministry.

As a label it is the belief that our ministry to our groups is as important as the ministry itself. I hope you find peace in the love of Jesus Christ and that if you are in the music industry, in any way. that you do all you do as unto the Lord. If for any other reason it is just wasted time.

God loved you and gave His only son so that you would not spend enternity apart from Him. It is a simple understanding that by no means of your own or of anyone else that you can go to heaven.
