Allen is an organist for a local church, and has been composing since 1972, when he was all alone in a house with basically just a piano and a book of poems dated 1918, and he put music to the words on some of them just for fun. Allen attempts to bring God into our presence as Asaph and the other musicians at the dedication of Solomon's temple.
