Christ is the center of my life and I love to worship Him. It is my absolute FAVORITE thing. I LIVE TO WORSHIP HIM! He is my Peace, my Shelter, my Strongtower, my Hope and my Strength. When circumstances seem to overwhelm me, I look to the hills from whence cometh my help. He has never left or abandoned me and I can count on His goodness and mercy every day of my life. I trust in Him with all my heart and I acknowledge Him in all of my ways for His love never fails and He is good and worthy to be praised.

My husband, Lieutenant Colonel David C. Canegata III, was killed in Iraq on January 20, 2007. What a day! In about 20 seconds my life changed forever. I am so very proud of him for making such a selfless sacrifice, not just for our family but for ALL americans. Though I have pronounced that I know that my mission is to continue the work of the ministry, I have failed miserably in the last 2 1/2 years because I have been too focused on trying not to allow the pain of loss to overwhelm me. I will admit that there were many moments when it did, overwhelm me I mean, but I have released it all to him and now my God, my Dad, my Papa is in control. When I am tempted to question Him, his Word reminds me in Romans 11:33-36 that He is a wonderful God and His riches and wisdom and knowledge are so great that it is impossible to understand His decisions and his methods or even know what He is thinking. I know that everything comes from Him and everything exists by His power and is intended for His glory.

You know, I do what I do to glorify my Father and to do my part in advancing the Kingdom here on earth (and a resounding "NO" ... they are not just pretty words). When all is said and done, it is only what we have done for Christ that will last. He has challenged us to go into ALL the world and preach the gospel, even to the ends of the earth. Our methods may differ but the expected result is always the same - to win souls for the Kingdom.

I have noticed that as I have begun to look more and more to Him, He has begun to pour into me more than ever before. I am excited at the prospect of creating again, solely to glorify Him. My children and I have so much to be thankful for -- so much.

"I Praise His Name" was released on April 17, 2002 and "Stand and Live" was released on April 6, 2007.
