One Hundred One Upward Glances (2000)
Readers will ponder how God might be at work in their lives in this heartwarming, chuckle-inspiring book for women of all ages. Sometimes humorous, sometimes poignant, One Hundred One Upward Glances is a collection of stories and reflections by popular author and speaker Sandra Aldrich. Each "glance" is based on a story from the author's life--we follow her from her childhood in the mountains of Kentucky; through her marriage to a bearded Scotsman; through widowhood, single parenting, and career struggles to her current life as a mentor for other women.

About Sandra P. Aldrich
Meet Sandra P. Aldrich, president of Bold Words, Inc. Sandra has written and spoken extensively on joyful living, marriage, and family issues, youth challenges, grief, single parenting and the effects of alcoholism upon the family. Her Kentucky storyteller style has made her a popular guest on numerous radio and television shows, including "Heart to Heart" of the "700 Club," "Prime Time America," "Mid-day Connection" and the "Focus on the Family" broadcasts. Sandra's often-humorous presentations feature the importance of solid relationships - to God, family, friends and self. After Sandra's husband died of brain cancer in 1982, she was left to raise a 10-year-old son, Jay, and an 8-year-old daughter, Holly. Today, both are terrific young adults who continue to keep their mom on her knees (praying!) - and well supplied with speaking and writing material. Sandra holds a master's degree from Eastern Michigan University (and, she says a "Ph.D. from the School of Hard Knocks"). Her career includes 15 years as a public school teacher in the Detroit area, a stint as a community service representative for a funeral home chain (she was one of the experts called to speak to students when the space shuttle exploded) and nine years in Christian ministry that included several years as senior editor of Focus on the Family Magazine.

Sandra's 500-plus articles have appeared in Focus on the Family Magazine, Moody Magazine, Today's Christian Woman and Discipleship Journal, among others. Her straightforward style and warm advice provide the backbone for books on grieving, marriage, single motherhood, encouragement, and many other subjects. She is the author or co-author of 17 books, and has contributed to two dozen more, including:

- 101 Upward Glances: Watching for God's Touch in the Ordinary Days
- Honey, Hang in There! Encouragement for Busy Moms
- Men Read Newspapers, Not Minds?and other things I wish I'd known when I first married
