I have pastored churches in Oklahoma, Illinois, and Tennessee, and been in active ministry since 1984 when I took my first paid ministry position as Music Director in a Baptist church in Chickasha, Oklahoma. (Actually I started much earlier, about 12 years old, when I was a fulltime pianist and organist, then at 16 took a position as Music Director for a small congregation in Oklahoma City, OK.)
The driving force of my ministry has always been to bring the truth of the Bible to people in a manner that they can understand, enjoy, and utilize in their lives. With a dash of wit, some serious study, and the power of God's Holy Word, I endeavor to make the Bible "come alive" for my readers and students.
Today I devote my evangelistic efforts to the Internet and the dynamic website, "Meditations In the Word." I also teach and preach every opportunity I can.
I currently reside in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, where I am a Sunday School teacher and church musician. I am also the proud father of 3 beautiful and gifted children; Jared (21), Laura (18), and Michael (17).
