Moon Dance (2003)
Moon Dance is a mixture of guitar, strings and progressive movements. Most fans have called it music with "moods". The styles range from classical, jazz, blues, bluegrass, new age, and fusion. One of the top songs on the album is "Christina's Home" which has a Latin beat and smooth classical guitars. Great music for those soft moon lite nights.

About Richard J Falcon Jr
|
|
Here is my story!
I was born in Wichita Kansas. I was adopted into a wonderful family grew up listing to Latin and rock music! When I was in high school I started to play guitar with some friends. Later I would find out that I come from a birth family of musicians! A bloodline from the composers of Strauss!
My music career started right out of high school in a band called "Privacy". After that I joined a band called Impact that was signed by Cheyenne West Entertainments. The band was a cover dance band playing everything from classic rock to 80's metal. This band performed throughout the Kansas and Oklahoma circuit.
In the early 90's I created the band Savior-Fare, another band I started that toured the circuit and was well know throughout Kansas Oklahoma and Texas. During this time I started to study classical guitar under the direction of Robert Buchett. I later studied a Master class with Robert Bluestone who was up for a Grammy for classical music that same year. After studying classical guitar I started to study classical orchestration and compositions. Soon I was touring in a rock band and playing classical recitals.
Soon I broke up the band Savior-'Fare to create a new band "Affliction". Affliction did both covers and original material. Affliction played Kansas, Oklahoma and parts of Texas. Affliction also received small recording contracts for their originals and opened up for major label acts.
I then started to write songs for several record companies and started to study Jazz music. During this time I was also involved in Western Kansas Blues Society and helping other bands get started. I was on a sound production team that worked with major label artists. I then started an all-original band called Salem's Harp. I joined forces with Connie Rowell and started writing songs for the new project. Salem's Harp was featured on public television and played the coffee house circuit. Salem's Harp experimented with gothic sounds and dark moods. The band featured outstanding musicians from the area such as Richie Meadows on bass and Mike Burns on drums.
After awhile I also experimented with instrumental music. I was writing instrumental music for commercial use, for local clubs and businesses. I then sent a demo to a record company, which sent it to Carefree Records, and Raymond Peck signed me for one year. I had written over one hundred instrumentals and sent them my best 10. Carefree records struck several deals with foreign labels. I stayed with creating my own label with hopes of joining Windamhill Records?. Soon other companies took interest in the instrumental music.
Send Angels was a collection of those songs. 14 of my best instrumentals went on that album. After finishing the project High Plains Public Radio took interest and played four songs on their active play list. They were "So This Is Love", "Send Angels", "Spanish Fire", and "Jessica's Tango". Soon more radio stations took interest in Send Angels including a company that feeds background music to restaurant and clubs called Music Oven. "All The Lonely People" won outstanding art project in the Kansas region by Phi Theta Kappa.
During this time I went to college to complete my degree in music performance and music education. I won eight music awards and over nine academic awards through the college. I also was finishing on the 2nd CD "Moon Dance".
Moon Dance was used through the use of modes to create moods. Trying to get both light and dark sound in the instrumental was my main focus. Soon radio station throughout the world would be playing Moon Dance including "Shades of Classic" in Winnipeg Canada. Christina's Home was a favorite for everyone and the album grew much success. Amy Werner who took on the project did the cover design.
Creation was a collaboration of artist from around the country. Trying to get the artist together was a very difficult task. Creation featured such great artist as Steve Generuex on bass. Steve is a graduate of both Berkley School of Music and Musical Institute in Hollywood, California. The album also features Jessica Tarman who was a former classmate. She graduated from Kansas Stated University. Also on the list was Mary Ann Chabaan who graduated from Kansas University, and many other guest musicians. Summer Snodgrass was hired to do the album cover.
The music business keeps growing and now Cdbaby handles all of my international distribution. Café Press is in charge of all Merchandise orders and now the music can be downloaded on over 50 different download sites. So many radio stations have aired the CDs with the help of several production companies, such as Raptor Productions out of UK. Club roundtable in the US, and Talent Match is keeping up with fan club information, and all of the show both large and small. Management is under family and the music is reaching more and more people throughout the world. Yours Truly, Richard Falcon.

Since the old website use to tell about the songs, I thought I would re-create that on MySpace. I am always asked how you come up with the names, or what inspired you? And most musicians want to know is how did your create the mu...

While studying music, and musical composition, and musical psychology, I also have the chance to study a little about how the brain perceives music. I feel the more an artist understand all the aspects of his art the better he can become. So I also t...
