Influences:
Sam Scales-Arnold Influences: Main influence and encouragement came through John Schlitt of PETRA. Another inspiration is my Producer Eddie B. who is an award winning singer & songwriter. also a bit of John Elefante and in earlier years of singing it was Sandy Patti and Amy Grant. ---- Warren Arnold's Influences: Kenny G.

Sounds Like:
Sam Scales-Arnold (lead vocals) - I have my own unique sound, it's a mix of PETRA with Euro influence. My Acoustic Music and praise & worship songs are long the style of the Vineyard sound. Vocal wise I was told by several people that I reminded them of the band "Heart" ----- My husband Warren Arnold (with his saxophone) - his soulful style has been compared to Kenny G.

About Psalm 100
Sam: In August 1999, Sam Scales began her grass-roots efforts in solo music ministry. Using tracks she went out of the church walls and into coffeehouses, festivals and other events ministering encouragement.
In 2002 she teamed up with producer Eddie B. out of Albuquerque, NM and her first project "Defender Of My Soul" was released in 2003. The second release "Tear Down The Wall" followed in 2004.
Getting an acoustic guitar in 2006 brought new inspiration. Self taught she began to play more and more acoustically and her songwriting took on a new fresh approach.
In 2009 she began recording her 3rd release at Mirror Image Studios in Peoria, IL. In the fall of 2011 that solo project "Eyes On The Road" was released.
Currently Sam Scales is touring part time and is involved with women's groups in her local area.
Sam married in 2003 and since then her husband Warren has been a great inspiration to her music and he accompanies her on djembre or saxophone occasionally as his schedule allows.

Warren: Since his teen years, playing in a high school band, Warren's love for the saxophone has carried over into his adult years and now he also uses effects with his saxophone to create a musical experience. His smooth soulful style has been compared to Kenny G.
Warren and Sam married in August 2003.

Something to contemplate over the next few days (Good Friday through Resurrection Day)...

1 Corinthians 15:55-57 - The Message (MSG)

But let me tell you something wonderful, a mystery I'll probably never fully understand. We're not all going to die?but we are all going to be changed. You hear a blast to end all blasts from a trumpet, and in the time that you look up and blink your eyes?it's over. On signal from that trumpet from heaven, the dead will be up and out of their graves, beyond the reach of death, never to die again. At the same moment and in the same way, we'll all be changed. In the resurrection scheme of things, this has to happen: everything perishable taken off the shelves and replaced by the imperishable, this mortal replaced by the immortal. Then the saying will come true:
Death swallowed by triumphant Life!
Who got the last word, oh, Death?
Oh, Death, who's afraid of you now?
It was sin that made death so frightening and law-code guilt that gave sin its leverage, its destructive power. But now in a single victorious stroke of Life, all three?sin, guilt, death?are gone, the gift of our Master, Jesus Christ. Thank God!

WHAT EASTER MEANS TO MEAN ME!!!

Ephesians 1:4-10 - The Message (MSG)

Long before he laid down earth's foundations, he had us in mind, had settled on us as the focus of his love, to be made whole and holy by his love. Long, long ago he decided to adopt us into his family through Jesus Christ. (What pleasure he took in planning this!) He wanted us to enter into the celebration of his lavish gift-giving by the hand of his beloved Son.

Because of the sacrifice of the Messiah, his blood poured out on the altar of the Cross, we're a free people?free of penalties and punishments chalked up by all our misdeeds. And not just barely free, either. Abundantly free! He thought of everything, provided for everything we could possibly need, letting us in on the plans he took such delight in making. He set it all out before us in Christ, a long-range plan in which everything would be brought together and summed up in him, everything in deepest heaven, everything on planet earth.

WHEN HE RETURNS, like the verse above says, "He thought of everything, provided for everything we could possibly need," WE WILL ALL FLY UNITED, ONE IN THE KING, there's no need to pack, He has everything!

HAPPY EASTER!
