Daniel Graves' GospelOK.com and Tommy Mayo's Southern Gospel Outreach is pleased to announce the creation of a high quality radio station that supports the less recognized groups in the southern gospel industry. The groups who subscribe to the GospelOK Featured Ministry program and the groups represented by Tommy Mayo will be a big part of our music format on this station and we welcome other ministries to become involved in our ministry.

Hello, my name is Daniel Graves. I was born and raised in northwest Arkansas and lived there until October of 2005. My wife, Courtney, and our teenage son, Blake and I are members of the Mustang Church of the Nazarene in Mustang, Oklahoma.
From an early age, I have loved music and the radio. My favorite groups to listen to are The Cathedrals, The Kingsmen, The Speers and The Imperials. As you can imagine, growing up listening to gospel music and living a few blocks away from the old rodeo arena where the Albert E. Brumley Sundown to Sunup Gospel Sing sparked my interest in the industry.
In 1991, I attended the University of Arkansas and studied Journalism. My first radio job was with the radio station KKIP owned by State Representative Tim Hutchinson, and later with KURM, KDAB, KAYH and Television Station KHOG, all located in the Northwest Arkansas area. In April of 2003, I felt the call to go into the singing ministry, so I spent some time with The Missourians from Joplin, Missouri. Also, I sang with some fine local church groups. In December of 2003, I began singing bass with Providence, the group I currently sing with, from Oklahoma City. While working for KAYH, the management and I brainstormed some details to create a radio program to spotlight local and regional gospel artists, but my move to Oklahoma City caused a hault to the radio program ideas but, I haven't forgotten the call and mission to spread the Gospel by promoting gospel music.
GospelOK.com became reality in 2005 to promote the artists in Oklahoma and surrounding states. When launched, I had no idea what God had planned do with it. When launched the focus was Oklahoma, But you the fans want more! There have been many influential individuals who have offered their support and spread the word. Now GospelOK, Only 2 years in existence is attracting groups and fans as far away as Canada.
Many think that southern gospel music is a dying music form, but first hand, I have seen many friends and even my wife transformed into serious southern gospel fans. I have even talked with instant fans while traveling and singing the gospel. These are folks who were into "more modern" forms of music. Most people do not even realize that many of these genres of music have their roots, rythem patterns and harmonies originating from southern gospel. What a blessing it is to see new artists and groups being formed with young people singing treasured old songs with new life given by the inhabitant of our praise. I am convinced that with today's talent and what's coming up, the future of southern gospel is far greater than its past!
