General Interests
I love the out of doors. When I can ride my motorcycle, I forget all of my troubles and drink in the wonder of God's creation around me. I passionately love to hunt and fish. When I can hike I put on my hiking boots and walk into the woods.
Music
Worship music is fabulous. The artists that I listen to are so varied. Point of Grace is a perpetual favorite. But, I also like Shinia Twain, Johnny Cash, Van Morrison, Steve Green, Scott Wesley Brown, 4Him, The Canadian Brass, Mozart, Christopher Parkening, Promise Band and the 12 Girl Band.
Books
The Bible is my favorite! John Stott's The Cross of Christ is a classic for me. Charles Ryrie's Balancing the Christian Life got me started on my spiritual pilgrimage. Hudson Taylor's Spiritual Secret motivated me early on in my spiritual quest. Sit Walk Stand by Watchman Nee has left a lasting impact on me.
Movies/TV
Movies with character development and action are great attractions. Chow Yun Fat in Anna and the King is amazing. So is his Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. Jason Scott Lee and Lauren Holly in Dragon touches me deeply. Mel Gibson's trilogy is a favorite: Braveheart, the Patriot and We Were Soldiers.

Bruce Fong's Blog (2007)
My blog has the following line as its header: "Is life getting heavy for you? Rest here for a moment and find encouragement to persevere." This is my honest desire. If people stop in and rest and find simple words to be an encouragement, then my prayer has been answered. I invite you to check it out: http://brucefong.com. Thanks!

Racial Equality in the Church (2001)
Just because people prefer to with with people who are like them, does that mean that the church should be organized that way? When this pragmatic and popular practice is compared to Scripture, it is proven to be incorrect and contrary to a proper ecclesiastical plan.

About Bruce W. Fong
I love the Lord and His Word. Most of my life is focused on preaching and teaching. I pastored a church for ten years and taught at a seminary for 9 years. During that time Promise Keepers invited me to join their speaking team in 1996. My first time to speak for PK was in the Seattle Kingdom in front of 60,000 screaming guys. The biggest joy came when PK invited me to be on the speaking team at Stand in the Gap. In front of 1.4 million men I preached on the need for men to take on the Biblical role as husbands and fathers. Today I am thrilled to speak with Iron Sharpens Iron, guest speak for conferences and wherever the Lord opens the door. Writing is becoming more and more of a passion. It is a craft that I hunger to learn. The impact that the written word has with people can only multiply a ministry into the lives of people.

ooh...Oregon   11/16/2009 - 5:58 AM
The smile on my face was spontaneous. I stepped out of the small jet plane and took in the fresh air of a land where I spent decades of my life. It was exhilarating and sweet. The weather was a welcome surprise. The sun was shining in the dista... (login or sign up to read more)

Hello Bruce! Guess what? I saw you on the cover of the JEMS newsletter. I've done several concerts with JEMS so I'm on their mailing list. Anyway, our youth pastor was at camp with the kids, so he probably saw you. I wish I was there to hear you speak.
