About Lucille Zimmerman, M. A.
Lucille is a Christian counselor, writer, speaker, and teacher.

Lucille's number one passion is to help hurting people. Her counseling practice is in Littleton, Colorado. She enjoys writing articles and speaking on topics such as posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), intimacy, depression, childhood sexual abuse, anxiety, self-care, boundaries, etc.

She has been a teaching assistant for a Clinical Counseling Methods course at Colorado Christian University and is writing a book about integration of psychology and theology.

She is also the mother of 17- year old Tucker - who constantly makes her laugh, and 20-year old Taylor, who now attends Baylor University. She and her husband are both from the same small town and have been married for 22 years.

She loves snow-shoeing, fly-fishing, hiking, skiing, writing, jogging, yoga, and watching movies.

Her favorite music artists are Nicole Nordeman, Rich Mullins, Bebo Norman, and Fernando Ortega.

Her favorite author is Chris Bohjalian, and her favorite movies are "Reign Over Me," "What About Bob," and "Waking Ned Devine"

The things that make her feel alive are shoveling snow, running in the crisp leaves, belly laughing with friends, alone-time, Honeynut Cheerios, and the first 30 minutes in the morning, before she gets out of bed - that's when she does her best thinking and praying.

Some of the highlight moments of her life:

Becoming a Christian, going to Israel (twice), jogging in Harvard square followed by a meeting with Dr. Judith Herman (PTSD-guru) and a few hours in the Isabella Stewart Gardner museum in Boston, the day she married her husband, the birth of her first child (How weird is that...staring into the eyes of that beautiful little being and getting to know each other), working for the Billy Graham Prayer Ministry in NYC after 9/11 - sleeping by day and ministering to the uniformed officers at night.

Some of her favorite places: Grafton, VT - Chimayo, NM - Lamar Valley in Yellowstone, WY - Ridgeway, CO, Flaming Gorge, UT
