About grace pettis
Grace is a 20-year-old singer/songwriter from rural Alabama. She is the daughter of folk singer/songwriter Pierce Pettis and the sister of fledgling musician George Pettis, a soon-to-be musical sensation.

When Grace was about four or five she decided that she wanted to be a singer. When she was a freshman in high school she sang one of her songs in the school talent show. After earning first place, she decided that maybe she should take this music thing seriously.

After graduating from high school, Grace decided to move to Austin, TX to be a part of the live music scene.

Since then, her songwriting has improved and she now carries a plethora of songs around in her head. She writes like a crazy person, sometimes two or three songs a week.

Grace records most of her low-quality demos on her MacBook using only her guitar, the built-in microphone, and her imagination.

However, Gordon Garrison and David Gentiles made it possible for Grace to record an acoustic album consisting of 8 tracks, called "Me and My Guitar." (available for download at http://www.myspace.com/gracepettis)

Recently, Grace teamed up with the musical stylings of Steve Allen and David Lee. These troubadors are working their hardest to become a cohesive unit.

Grace Pettis is a 20 year old singer-songwriter and full time student at St. Edward's University in Austin, TX. The tracks available for download are courtesy of the generous Gordon Garrison and David Gentiles (and possibly others). Their right hands may not know what their left hands are doing but this lady does. Thank you. A lot. The other tracks you hear are demos made with a MacBook using the built-in mic. All songs were written/arranged/performed by Grace Pettis. Grace Pettis also takes full responsibility for the guitar playing and harmonies.
