I'm your typical Army brat and have lived here, there & everywhere. I was born into a family of gypsies and my veins run red with nomad's blood. Growing up I attended 4 elementary schools, 2 middle schools, 3 high schools & 2 colleges before settling in Texas [which is where my parents & sib's live]. I've lain my head for more than 48 hours in Seattle, Wa; Olympia, WA; West Point, NY; Long Island, NY; Manhattan, NY; Orlando, FL; Bremerhaven, Germany; Venice, Italy; Bamburg, Germany; Pettstadt, Germany; Prague, Czechoslovakia; Frankfurt, Germany; Barcelona, Spain; Monterrey, Mexico; Manzanilla, Trinidad & Tobago; Dallas, TX; Santa Fe, NM; Las Vegas, NV; Portland, OR; Riodoso, NM; Wolf Creek, CO, Tulsa, OK, Victoria, British Columbia and various other places all over the globe. I haven't made it to any part of Asia or to Hawaii yet... but don't worry. I will.

I'm a big fan of the written word and admit to reading just about anything. Books are my friends.... My mom had me reading by the age of 3 and books been a constant source of comfort since I first picked up one, especially with all of the moving every few years. No matter where you are in the world, a library always feels the same, so reading a lot of books would allow me to at least be able to hang out for a bit in someplace familiar - even if everything else around me was completely foreign. I kid you not... I will read darn near anything in print. well... except for math or science books. I might pick up a well-written scientific book, but math is out of the question. I'll read food labels & the backs of cereal boxes if nothing else is left to peruse.
Of course, it goes without saying that fashion-related books, magazines and trade publications are a staple, especially: Bride's, Martha Stewart [anything by Martha is an absolute MUST], InStyle, Glamour, For the Bride, Pageantry Magazine, Supermodels Unlimited and Turn for the Judges.

Movies: This is definitely a "too many to list" area for me... if it's quirky and funny and clean-cut, then it'll make the list. I also like watching thrillers and whodunits/mysteries as well as cutesy cartoons and Disney movies. Some of my all-time favorites are The Incredibles, Toy Story, Schindler's List, Signs, Unbreakable, Charade, Road to Bali, The Sound of Music, Princess Diaries, 13 Going on 30, Maid in Manhattan, The Princess Bride, Robin Hood:Prince of Thieves, One Night With the King, & Milo & Otis.
TV-wise: I don't really spend too much time watching tv - partly because I'm too busy, partly because I always come home right as soon as a show's endinig, and mainly because there's really not that much to watch on tv that's appealing. For the times that I do watch tv I like to turn on America's Next Top Model, Project Runway, anything on Food Network, What Not to Wear, Jeopardy!, Wheel of Fortune, the 4400, Law & order SVU & CI, and Design Star.

I'm a BIG fan of anything fashion-related. I live, eat, dream fashion... so much so that I opened a boutique with my mom to have 24-access to the industry. We started our shop online in 2004 and in November 2005 we opened our first physical location in Spring Branch, TX. Thus began the introduction of Two Chic Chicks Boutique to the Texas Hill Country!
I love glitzy things and I love dressing up, so our boutique is primarily a special occasion and bridal boutique. We are also the only pageant shop in the area, serving delegates and queens from San Antonio, New Braunfels, Cibolo, Austin and even worldwide. This fall [2007], Mom & I were just named co-directors of the Hill Country's first ever beauty and scholarship pageant, the Miss Hill Country Pageant. It's a regional pageant under the umbrella of the American Beauty International system - one of the fastest growing pageant systems in the US. We're loving it and we're having a blast hooking up with other pageant systems as prize sponsors. I love being able to help a gal achieve a winning look.
