Jesus gives me life.
I'd be nowhere without him.
I grow tired when I try to go on my own. And right now, I am tired.
There's much I don't know, and much more I don't understand.
I fall short, and yeah I get down on myself, on life.
But then there's God. His love always brightens up my day.
It at least puts a smile on my face, and when I see
5000 strong praising him with me, I feel like dancin man!
I don't always get what runs through my head,
I don't always get why I feel like I feel sometimes,
I don't get God and all his mysterious ways,
Like one drop of his Jesus's blood covering all my sins?
It blows my mind! I mean that I don't have to do anything
but accept Jesus to be forgiven for all that I've done,
for the many failures I have. That Jesus and God would sacrifice
so much just to show their love for me and so I could spend
eternity with Him. Now THAT puts a smile on my face. There is NO
greater love than that.
other than that, my friends are probably gonna trump my family most of the time.
I love good music. Partial to rock, alternative, indie, emo (as long as they're singing and not killing their vocal chords with the constant screaming-cookie monstor type thing) and pop rock but I like just about everything. love playing football and soccer, and I love my tennis shoes. I play drums only with my painted drumsticks, masterpieces created by my good friend buddy Katy, just because they're my sticks. I also play trumpet and I used to play cello, oh I do miss playing cello. Many good times came with the cello. Jammin' on guitar and drums rocks my face, not like Buddy Rich good, but have much fun playing good songs even if played not as good as Dennis Chambers, AMAZING DRUMMER for all you fellow drummers check him out, or Phil Collins, or Karen Carpenter, yes Karen Carpenter from The Carpenters, she was AMAZING! She'd be singing across the time while doing fills and she was always locked in! AMAZING!! Want to know anything else? ask me. If you don't cool, I'm ok with that.
I am now a supporter of the organization To Write Love On Her Arms. want to know what that is? Check out the blog.
And now after all that, here are some verses that a friend of mine, Ericka, posted in a blog and I think they're great and that you all should read them so I'm posting them because I don't think most of you have Ericka as a friend on here. So read up, enjoy, be moved, motivated, greatful, brought to tears....whatever they do for you, let it be done.
Luke 10:19: "I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you."
Jeremiah 1:19: "They will fight against you but will not overcome you, for I am with you and will rescue you," declares the LORD."
1 John 4:4: "You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world."
Revelation 2:17: "To him who overcomes, I will give some of the hidden manna. I will also give him a white stone with a new name written on it, known only to him who receives it."
Revelation 21:7: "He who overcomes will inherit all this, and I will be his God and he will be my son."
Why give up? Why give in?
