Celtic Wisdom: Treasures From Ireland (2009)
This collection of classic Celtic wisdom - in the form of sayings and stories, prayers and proverbs - reveals the authentic core of Celtic spirituality. After a historical introduction and chapters on St Patrick, Brigid, and the Twelve Apostles of Erin, Cindy Thomson leads the reader on an enriching journey through Celtic prayer and learning, unveiling the Creator in the natural world and highlighting the importance of tradition in passing on this rich spiritual heritage. Beautifully illustrated with evocative images of Ireland, this book does more than simply retell Celtic stories: it equips seekers to transform their worlds by putting this ancient wisdom in practice.

I'm a former teacher and a full-time freelance writer. It was hard to pick a genre. In additon to historical fiction, I write nonfiction, mostly baseball, Irish history, and genealogy.
My focus lately has been on ancient Irish history and Celtic Christianity. I love research and believe that the people in the past left a legacy for us to discover and learn from.

Hi! I was wondering if anyone knows of any Celtic-themed fiction (preferably medieval) that is NOT romance and is inspirational. Besides Stephen Lawhead--I already read his books. It's not that I don't like romance, I'm looking for novels that do not...

Hi Cindy,
It seems we have a couple of things in common. I taught school too, and I write historical fiction. And I love Irish history.
Have a great week, and thanks for being my Shoutlife friend.

Sorry it's taken me so long to get back to you. We left for the left coast two days before you left the comment. Stayed there visiting various relatives for almost a month. Came back and had to make a birthday party, and get back to the ACFW small critique group where I'm the leader...responsibility. :)
Best wishes on the ms where you have editor interest.
