Beside writing, I have many interests. The problem is finding the time to pursue them. I love doing most any type of hand-crafts, particularly crochet. I do some plastic canvas creations, and have recently decided to tackle some crafts for holidays and birthday giving gifts using discarded CD's. Should be a fun project.
Of course, I love reading. I really need to get my books organized. All my book shelves are bulging and I've begun stacking them on every empty spot in my little office I can find.

Music has been my passion since a little girl. I started taking piano lessons at age five, then moved to organ and accordion, for fun. But piano remains my love. No, I'm not by any means 'accomplished.' I play for my own, and family pleasure, and used to be church pianist/organist for many years.
As to music listening pleasure, my tastes are rather eclectic. I love classical music--it is my background music of choice when I'm writing. I also love Big BAnd music, the sounds of the 40's. Some rock 'n roll, some country (not a lot!), and good old fashioned Gospel.

Oh, I LOVE books! Ever since Dick and Jane I've had a book in my hands, purse, or bedside table. Like music, my book-reading is eclectic. I'll read almost anything except Sci-Fi, Paranormal, Supernatural or Speculative, though I have read a few of them, too.
As a book reviewer, I could get in trouble if I tried to name some of my favorite books/writers here So, I'll play it safe and mention some of my old-all-time favorites: Exodus (Leon Uris--actually anything by Uris); Chesapeake, Centennial and Texas (James A. Michener); Grapes of Wrath (John Steinbeck); A Tale of Two Cities (Dickens); The Devil's Advocate and Tender Victory (Taylor Caldwell); Christy and Julie (Catherine Marshall); and everything by Eugenia Price.
Okay, I'll stop there.

Don't watch much TV. Haven't for a long while. Don't go to many movies, either. But some of my favorites from years gone by are: Gone With The Wind, Dr. Zhivago, Ben Hur, The Sound of Music, The Ten Commandments, El Cid, The old Jerry Lewis/Dean Martin movies, and Danny Kaye's films. Yeah, I like to laugh in between all the drama.

A Child of The King, Peg is a wife, mother of three, grandmother of eight, and great-grandmother of six--at last count. She is a writer, columnist, reviewer and interviewer, encourager and a good listener.
She also enjoys handcrafts of many types, and, as an avid reader, loves to dive between the covers of a good book and lose herself totally in the story.
A retired executive assistant, Peg now lives in southern Nevada with her husband Jim, and a family of gorgeous--but spoiled--Lynx Point Siamese cats.
Peg is a member of ACFW (American Christian Fiction Writers) and CWFI (Christian Writer's Felloswhip International.)

I am an avid reader and I enjoy all sorts of books - as long as they're fiction. A few exceptions are all the How-To books about writing I have, my Bibles, Bible studies and devotional books. I have a number of favorite contemporary authors such as (...

Since early this year friends have been telling me how wonderful the ShoutLife community was. But, along with being a dedicated blogophobic, I resisted. It eventually dawned on me that I really did need to break out of my comfort zone (and my reclusi...
