Tony Driscoll seems like the perfect boyfriend - until rumors start circulating about his mother's tragic death and his violent behavior in past romantic relationships. College freshman Megan McLeod brushes off the rumors at first, but she can't ignore the fact that there is something really strange about Tony asking her to marry him on their third date.
