Susan K. Stewart is a teacher, writer, and speaker. Susan and her husband, Bob, began teaching their children at home in 1981and is considered a pioneer in the modern home education movement. All three of their children graduated from their homeschool and have been launched from the nest.
Susan is the author of Science in the Kitchen: Fearless Science At Home For All Ages. In addition to writing about topics of interest to home educators and women, she speaks at support groups, women's retreats, and conventions.
The Stewarts are active advocates for people suffering with mental illness and teach NAMI Family to Family class. They also enjoy celebrating Scottish heritage.
