About Jean Wise
Spiritual growth is Jean's passion that she enthusiastically shares with others as she encourages and empowers them to know God and to make Him known. She is a wife, mother, registered nurse, speaker, writer, and a fellow Christian just trying to learn how to walk more intimately with God.

After discovering an enjoyment of public speaking as an adult, Jean now is a frequent speaker at retreats, gatherings, and seminars. Jean is a graduate of Florence Littauer's CLASS (Christian Leaders, Authors, and Speakers Seminar).

Jean lives in Ohio with her husband, Bill. They are the proud parents of three children, Valerie, a veterinarian, Katie, a teacher, and Brian, a student at the Lutheran School of Theology in Chicago. In April 2006, their family expanded with the addition a wonderful son-in-law, Austin, who married Katie.

Jean is an RN, graduating with her BSN from Capital University and her MSN from the Medical College of Ohio. She is currently a candidate working toward being an Associate in Ministry (AIM) for the Lutheran Church.

Jean retired from public health in 2006 and is now a freelance writer and speaker. She has published articles in the Lutheran, the Christian Communicator, public health journals and in God Answers Prayers - Military Edition. She wrote a monthly column on health in the daily newspaper, The Bryan Times, for 16 years and now is a reporter and feature article writer for the Times.

Jean is a spiritual director and completed a three year course from the Dominican Center at Marywood, Grand Rapids, Michigan in June 2006.
