At this point in my life, I am learning to trust the Lord in all areas of my life. There is an aquired peace with this and something I would not trade for anything.
I have learned to "delight myself in the Lord."
I am happily married to a fabulous man, Johnie. We are both christian music artists and writers. I recently finished my BA in history, and am currently working on a MA.
My studies in history have prepared me to write. Ask me about a date of a certain war, and I could'nt tell you. However, end and foot notes.....I know where those go on the paper.
I have been published, in fact, my 1st works are in some archives in the University I attended.
I also write songs:music and lyrics.
Someday, I plan to write a book. The topic will be concerning misconceptions and misunderstandings of women's roles in the New Testament.
There are so many wonderful things in the bible, which are so often over looked, because of biased reading glasses.
I may not be able to change opinions, but I might be able to offer another perspective.
And then again, some people never change. Our Christian music group, Divine Providence, is a blessing to others, and a blessing to each individual member of the group.
I will admit, there is some awesome talent in this bunch, however, talent alone is not enough. We do feel God's presence in our music, and that is the main ingredient.
Our house is filled with music, love and joy. Our dogs even sing at times. The bulldog howls when Johnie breaks the trumpet out, and the other two dogs chime in.
We are working on our first CD this year and are excited.
The real exciting part is the Lord is in the midst of it all. His ways are the happy ways and trusting in him is a delight. Jesus is coming back for his people and we want to shout the message of "Good News" through music.
God Bless you all.
