Jesus Christ. I admire His wisdom, authority, patience, discipline and compassion. Being the very Son of God, He became also the ultimate human being. No pupil is greater than his teacher. So a pupil should be satisfied to become like his teacher (Matthew 10:25).

If you are looking for a powerful study of God's Word that reads like a novel, this is the one!!

Respectfully Yours is the second book in a series about the Ten Commandments in the 21st century. Based on the command to honor our parents, it deals with a much broader aspect of family life: the mutual respect between God, parents and children. The letter of the Old Testament bursts into life as author Marja Meijers explains the new way of the Spirit. Using the same step-by-step method as in her first book, Marja takes biblical truths and guidelines and unfolds them into practical tools that can be used to renew, restore or strengthen family relationships. Respectfully Yours is a thought provoking page turner that will transform your view of the parent-child relationship!

It is my real name, but is actually my last name. For writing purposes I have been using it as my first name. It's memorable:-). Someone on facebook actually mentioned your character in your book and mentioned the similarity. I had to research what they were talking about and your name on my own shoutlife friends list came up. Small world:-)

You pronounce my name LaCha'n the "i" is silent. Thanks for asking. Peace!..

Hi, Marja. I am sooooo sorry I've been out of touch for so long--thank you for the messages you've left--they've brightened my days.

Yes, we're settled here in TN, but very homesick and lonely for our family. I'm sure you understand completely, with so many of your own family in the Netherlands. How do you ever adjust to this?

Not writing at all, nor any desire to do so. I think there's still just so much stress with the house situation, the depression, etc., that it's just not happening. Maybe someday. How about you?? Any works in progress at this point?

Will sign off for now. Hope this finds you well. Take care, and have a great day.

Hugs--
Julie

Hello Marja,
Got too busy and ignored shoutlife for a feww days, smile. Hope you had a great weekend as well. All is well with me and my family. Take care.

Thank you for the info on the book, Marja! I look forward to picking up a copy as soon as I can. I am a bit busy this next week or two, but after things settle down (or once my husband and I are settled into our new home, I am hoping that I will get out to pick it up!).

Praying that God blesses your writing and your life abundantly! Have a wonderful week!
Libby Jameson on 10/24/09 - 5:29 PM
Wow, thank you for telling me about the book. It sounds really interesting. Where can I find it? I would love to get a copy. I am always amazed at the miracle of birth and how intricately we are "knit together" (Psalm 139) in the womb! God is amazing and so creative! Thanks for the friendship and I pray that your weekend is blessed beyond measure!

Jesus love the little children! Wednesday, January 23, 2008 - 8:21 PM

People were bringing little children to Jesus to have him touch them, but the disciples rebuked them. When Jesus saw this, he was indignant. He said to them, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it." And he took the children in his arms, put his hands on them and blessed them.

O.K., Marja.
I have a spade when do I start???LOL
It's crazy isn''t it? Over here the ideas men talk about piping water from Western Australia where they have plenty of rivers a mere 3000km to the East where we have terrible drought.
They should do it but no Government wants to foot the bill!
Anything that gets me out of the house would be a winner.
Have a great week and weekend,
Love and blessings, Wyn

Yes, we certainly need rain.
When the dust storm ended and Canberra had some welcome rain the dust turned into liquid chocolate! Well, that's what it looked like to my grandson anyhow.
Never mind the finger in the dyke. Swap it for a water pipe and lets us have some.
I'll pray that you don't see any fires where you are. You will welcome winter I guess.
Love and blessings,
Wyn
