General Interests
My beautiful wife (of 18+ years) and children--God has blessed me! ___________________________________ MUSIC--the heavier the better, although I like MOST types of music. Lately, I've been more into emo, screamo, hard rock, metal stuff, though I've always appreciated good musicianship and progressive music. I was into metal and hard rock as a punk teenager, before I became a Christian. I suppose I don't fit the expected stereotype in this regard--as I've gotten older, my love for hard, heavy music has grown, NOT diminished! ___________________________________ Speaking of heavy music, currently I play guitar, help write lyrics and music, and sing bgv's for a melodic, hard rock band called MLC. ___________________________________ Since becoming a Christian, I have been in several bands, most of these playing guitar or drums, but also bass guitar in 1 or 2. In Chronological order: Zur Gabriel (in Lancaster, CA), Christ Righteous (short-lived but LOTS OF FUN-- with Brian Hoeche, Mike Walker and Rik Hilborn), Qodesh (I wrote music and played guitar), The Average Joes (with Joe Feldpausch--played guitar and sometimes drums), Joe Feldpausch (solo artist), Ditto Soul, and now MLC. ___________________________________ Christian Counseling, Psychotherapy, Mental Health. My profession for almost 10 years (post-master's). She truly is man's best friend, and "Rusty" --owner and engineer for the world-renowned (OK, so few have really heard of it) RUSTY'S RECORDING RANCH ___________________________________ Sin and REDEMPTION--cross--grave--RESURRECTION ideas and writings, stories, movies, music. etc. ___________________________________ Some sci-fi--although I don't read it as much as I used to. ___________________________________ Biking-- both road and MTN ___________________________________ Most things CHOCOLATE!! For a good long time, I was really into the dark stuff--like those Hershey "Special Dark" bars, or darker, lately I've enjoyed more milk chocolate. And Ice Cream--did you know that July was "National Ice Cream month"? Call me a Patriot! "Starbuck's Java Chip"--coffee ice cream with chunks of bitter-sweet chocolate--oh yeah, that's the way we roll. ___________________________________

Movies/TV
Movies--K-PAX, The Hunt for Red October, all the LOTR movies, Gladiator, A Beautiful Mind, most movies with Johnny Depp, Angelina Jolie, lots of action, can't take too much in the way of drama (except some psycho-drama). ___________________________________ TV--LOST, although I've not been happy with the writers since they killed off Mr. Echo--they better not touch Say-id. CSI: Miami--"H" is such a good guy! Miami Ink--so I can live vicariously.

Seems I remember hearing that it means "spear-strong", or "spear-brave"--uh, yeah, that's me, sure!

What about "Medicis"?

The story goes that the DeMedici ("De" being "of" in Italian) family started in 1201 A.D., in Florence, Italy, though I haven't traced it back QUITE that far yet...
