About Michael McDowell
Michael McDowell was born in Detroit, Michigan. He graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in Journalism and Communications. He assumed the role of publisher of Blitz, The Rock And Roll Magazine For Thinking People in 1976. Michael moved the operations of Blitz Magazine to Los Angeles, California in 1979.

In the late 1980s, he began ministerial studies at the King's Seminary in Van Nuys, California and later graduated from LIFE Pacific University in San Dimas, California with a degree in Pastoral Ministry. Michael is an ordained minister in the Foursquare denomination and served on the pastoral staff of Acton Foursquare Christian Fellowship.

Michael continues to publish Blitz Magazine online and is the author of hundreds of published articles for numerous magazines and journals. Michael has also written the sleeve notes for dozens of album and CD releases by a variety of recording artists.

Michael has been happily married since 1995 to Audrey.
