About Roger M. Wood
Straight out of church, Roger began his professional career at the age of 17 by touring with the Rolling Stones, Stevie Wonder and Dorothy Norwood, (a popular black gospel artists) on the Rolling Stone's 'STP' U.S. tour. He has extensive experience, and is an accomplished keyboardist and performer in multiple genres. His adept keyboard ability is due in part to growing up on Black Gospel, R&B, Rock & POP during the 70's and 80's and has been in high demand as a professional studio musician and Hammond B3 player for many years. He is also an independent producer, former Hammond B3 rep, and has written music technology articles for several trade magazine's. He participated in the development of Midisoft's premier music notation/sequencing/digital audio software package developing special interest groups and unique markets for new and existing products. He produced custom midi & digital audio files for recordLab's 'Internet Tapedeck' product (an 8 track PC based digital recorder). He acted as recordLab.com's spokesperson and host musician for 'Internet Tapedeck' video tutorials and was part of its content development team, securing artists, producers and industry professionals for "Internet Tapedeck" to include; Slash from 'Gun's & Roses', and producers Jack Douglas, Tony Visconti, Michael Lloyd & Nile Rogers.Roger has preformed with a myriad of artists to include: The Winans, Bill Maxwell, Andrea Crouch, Bryan Duncan, Noel McLeary, iLLy wOnKa, Martha Munuzzi, Rachel Lampa, Kurt Karr, Fletch Wiley, Heather Powers, The Katinas, Vicki Winans, Terry Cummings, Percy Baty. James Cleveland, Dorothy Norwood, Washington State Mass Choir, Experience Hendrix Records/Various Projects, Fralippolippi, Beck, Dan Aykroyd, Noel Redding, Robby Robertson and close friend comedian/artist Sam Kinison just to name a few.
