Learning to play the guitar at 39, with a neurological disorder is a challenge! Sometimes the order from my brain doesn't get to my hands . . . other times I just have verbal dyslexia. But, it sounded fun!

Curious about AGED? It all started with a simple trip to the local music store. I have a favorite there you see. He looks and acts like a much younger version of my older brother, and of course as we all know the way you show someone that you care is to give them a hard time. On this day I was showing quite a bit of sisterly love. He asked if there was anything that he could help me find. I told him sure. a book of music with the only two chords that I could play A and D. He couldn't find one. (Imagine that.)

The next trip brought more of that familial display of love . . . only this time he promptly told me that he didn't have a song book with only A and D. I informed him that there was no need, I had formed a band due to my newly aquired chords and was ready to tour. Quite shocked, but being ever so polite he inquired to the name of my band. Without a blink I replied, you've heard of AC/DC right, where upon he tilted his head uncertain of what his response should be and with a big grin I exclaimed "it's AGED, because that is what I am what I know how to play." He suddenly had something to do in the back, but you can't fool me I heard snickering, definate snickering!

AGED was created, but that didn't do anything for my vocals. You know it's pretty bad when even your Pastor won't let you sing in church! God said to make a joyful noise. He didn't say anything about being on key!

I love to play, though I'll never be a star. I love to sing, and the dogs enjoy chiming in with a howl and a bark, but more than that I love to create, to write the lyrics that rebound in my head.
