I am a wife, mother of three boys, and an artist. I was born and raised in Lake Charles Louisiana and I now live in Houston Texas. We attend a catholic church and love Jesus. I thank God for all of the joys in my life, and also for the sufferings and sorrows that help me to grow and be more compassionate. Accepting both consolations and desolations as graces coming from God helps me to see the sacred in the ordinary, common and mundane and also in the joys, beauty and trials and tests of life.

| Hello, I am visual artist Dawn Maureen Thibodeaux. Below is a slideshow of my paintings, drawings, and crafts. Art for me is a way to communicate my ideas, feelings, inner world, and prayers in a different form of communication that does not involve words. In the process of doing a creative work, I feel very close to my Creator, who is the Source of all creativity. In the same way that the Heavens declare the glory of God when we are allowing the sights and sounds of Nature to pass into our eyes and ears, participation in creativity in our inner world also declares the glory of God as creativity is moving in the hearts of men and women through expressive works such as art, poetry, music, and dance. If you are very still and listen with all of your heart with the wonder of a child, through the creative expression of others, you can sometimes hear the heartbeat, footsteps and voice of Christ, and also you can hear man's universal cry for redemption. I put up our artificial tree today, and it was one of those prelit trees but the lights are not working. Soooo, I spent almost all day cutting loose those old light wires. I now have callouses on my hands. Ouch ! Now, next...I put on the new lights. ...
