This excellent, well known writing method did not originate with me, but it seems no one had ever taken the time to put the method in book form. I therefore decided to do so myself. This is not a book about proper grammar or punctuation, or how best to choose the voice or set the scene for your great American novel. There are already countless books covering those subjects, if that's what you're looking for. But if you want to know how best to take your thoughts and dreams and put them into a clear, compelling, readable manuscript, then this is the book for you. Having personally seen the train-of-thought writing method help so many new writers learn to organize, write, and polish their ideas into successful manuscripts, I offer this book to those who would do the same. Now, who am I? Well, I'm a California girl, born and raised, and I'm married to my junior high/high school sweetheart, Al. We have three grown sons and nine grandchildren, and in our occasional spare time, we ride a Harley--hence, the names "Big Al" and "Easy Writer."
I've been in love with words for as long as I can remember and never wanted to be anything but an author. God has blessed me to publish seventeen of my own books (three more currently under contract), and to ghostwrite/collaborate on countless others. I have also worked as an editor at Gospel Light Publishing, and I still do quite a bit of freelance editing. Most amazing is that God has taken this "I'd rather die than be a public speaker" wallflower and brought me to the point of being a passionate public speaker with a heart for missions. In fact, I won the "2008 Member of the Year" award from AWSA--nothing short of a miracle from this former "I'd rather die than be a public speaker" wimp!
I currently serve as spiritual adviser for CAN (Christian Authors Network) and also Set Free Today Ministries, as well as being involved in several other writers/speakers groups. And I have a fantastic agent, Tamela Hancock Murray, who is also a ShoutLife member and a dear friend. (Thanks for introducing me to this group, Tamela!)
My husband and I, along with my 88-year-old mom who lives with us, attend Nuevo Community Church; we live in a great little community called Homeland, about midway between LA and San Diego.

The heart sees much more and much better than our eyes. When I follow my heart I find that love and God merges into a flood of compassion for others beyond my own understanding of what might be the intelligent course of human events. Even when we are hurt and injured by the callousness of others if we are merciful then we will receive mercy as our reward.
