The name "Broken" comes from Psalm 51:17; "The sacrifice you desire is a broken spirit. You will not reject a broken and repentant heart, O God." (NLT)This was written by King David after being confronted with his sin. And instead of letting pride consume him, he confessed, and renounced his sin in brokeness and repentance. That is why God called him a man after his own heart. And I believe that we also should be broken and repentant for the sins in our own lives and the sins of this land. Jesus has called us to be the salt of the earth and the light of the world. Let's stop blaming the darkness for being dark, and blame the light for not shinning. The world doesnt need a bunch of self-righteous "christians" pointing the finger of judgement at them, and they dont need religion. Jesus didnt die to start another religion, and he didnt come to call those who think they are righteous; he came to call those who know they are sinners, and recognize their deep need for him. So it's time to humble ourselves in brokeness and repentance and be Jesus to this world. That is our passion.
