About Jimmy Reno
Born and raised in the Birmingham, Alabama area, I have grown up singing in churches. My first solo was at the age of 4 years old. My Dad played guitar while I sang a song entitled "How Far Is Heaven". Since that day, I haven't stopped singing for the Lord.

My parents raised us in church and instilled in me a love for music and a love for God's word. I was saved at 12 years of age and realized I wanted more than anything to sing about the love of Jesus Christ.

I sang with a trio called Trinity for almost 10 years after I graduated high school. We recorded a project on Horizon Music Groups Dawn label that was entitled "In His Presence". The radio release from that project, "Simply Unexplainable", hit christian country's hot 200 releases. The song peaked at 112 and gave us a small taste of getting our message out on a national scope.

I also work as a studio back up singer recording background vocals for various artist's & record demo's for various songwriters.

I'm married to a beautiful woman, Christa, who supports me and my ministry 100% . We have 3 incredible children! Kaleb is 11 years old and a terrific baseball player. Kristen is 10 years old and loves to sing and dance. Aaron is 8 years old and is quite the football player. We are very active in our home church, Nectar United Methodist, and thank God for the love and support we received from our church family.

Hi Jimmy,

It doesn't matter whether you're Baptist, Methodist, Pentecostal, Conservative, or Liturgical you need to be aware of what God is doing in these days through the Messianic movement. The more we understand the roots of our faith in Judaism, the more we can understand what God wants us to know to make that faith grow.

It doesn't matter whether you like rock, country, contemporary, gospel, or hip hop, you need to grow in your musical tastes, and sample the rich tapestry of Messianic Jewish music that is available today. To that end, I would like to introduce you to two amazing Messianic artists, whose musical style is very unique, and totally wonderful.

Deborah Kline-Iantorno's music springs from her Jewish and Puerto Rican roots, and her years as a night club singer. Her songs are exciting, her voice is gorgeous, and the message she brings is right on.

Straight from Jerusalem, Israel, the songs of Rivka Whitten are alive and fresh. Her music is a unique mix of Yemenite Israeli vocals along with rhythms from around the world, and a gifted group of instrumentalists.

Please come on by, and check out a couple of amazing songs that I have put on my page, then you can go to www.newfaithfavorites.com and listen to all of them.

Thanks,

Jim
