Chris Jay Becker is a singer/songwriter from the eastside of Los Angeles, now based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The son of two heroin addicts/ex-cons, he's been writing songs since He was 14.

Chris is also a poet, unpublished novelist, a produced playwright, and a former Hollywood stand up comic.

Songwriting influences include: Albert Brumley, Mosie Lister, Lanny Wolfe, Dottie Rambo, Neil Enloe, Joel Hemphill, and Ronnie Hinson, as well as Johnny Cash, Townes Van Zant, Bob Dylan, Keith Green, and Larry Norman.
