I pretty much have my own style, but my novel, The Faeren Lands, might remind you of CS Lewis...another favorite of mine. I love to write suspence/thriller/action romance.

About Mid Stutsman
Married with 12 children (I had 14- 7 boys, 7 girls, but lost a son and a daughter at birth) and 10 grandchildren. If you want to know more, please visit my website and read "Life in General~Mine in Particular". My disastrous past inspired my very first novel, The Faeren Lands, an odd ball misfit that seems to defy any genre. Kind of like the story of my life!! ;)

As a believer, my writings focus on the Lord, and span the list from poetry to short stories, novels, children's stories, essays and personal blogs.

I have two finished novels waiting for publication: a romantic suspense set in Israel. The other one combines allegory, fantasy and memoir into a compelling story of God's amazing Love. I have three novels in various stages of progress. One of them is a sequel to my Israel novel.

Last year, I sent in a collection of "moments" I titled, SIGH, to the Writer's Digest 2008 Short Story contest. My work received an honorable mention and placed 17th out of 100 in the inspirational category. There were over 17,000 entries altogether.

Three of my personal stories were published in WOMEN OF PASSIONS, an anthology, 2008

SHAVINGS, a short story about Jesus preparing my mansion, won the title, Best of the Best, for 2007-2008 on Faithwriters.com

In 2003, my short story, ARCELIA, won first place in an online children's short story contest, and I have poetry featured on several websites and in anthologies.

It is the desire of my heart is to write for the edification of the body of Christ and to glorify the One who has so graciously given me a new life. He is my inspiration!

Second Chance or, Saved from a Bullet!   5/12/2009 - 9:03 AM
Rarely does one get a second chance at life. I'm not referring to anything spiritual; I mean real life. Real flesh, blood and bone life. But after what happened to me last Saturday down in my secluded garden, I now know what a new lease on life means... (login or sign up to read more)

John-Tammy's Man Hapily Engaged!!! :) on 11/09/09 - 5:18 PM
Shalom!

Thank you for your compliments. I see you have met my fiance and better half. :D

U see you have a Jewish Layoput which is awesome. A family fishing. I am German Jewish by natural bloodline. The story I always got as a kid is SOO basic, my father always taught me "we are German Jews.". UM ya dad, that tells me a lot. NOT! So I truly don't know all of my own herritage yet though I am working on it reading books, attending Barmitzvah's and going to and taking part in Shabat and Yam Kippor and the Sadar dinners. Some of this makes me wonder if we are Christians, then why all of the ritual if Jesus paid the price for it all anyway. I get corrected all the time that this idea is called replacement theology that came out of the council of Nicea and is wrong theology and the idea of having SUNDAY as the day of worship also came from the council of Nicea to honor the pegan "Sun god" and that Saturday is our true Lord's Sabbath day. New revelations for me. So Sunday is not the Lord's day.

Anyway, I pick at trying to learn a bit of Hebrew and every once in a while someone speaks it correctly and I get a bit confused because I am a Jew by blood that was never raised Jewish. OY!!! :(

I have picked up some musical favorites in Jewish culture. Paul Wilbur is really good! I really enjoy Him and His music very much.

In closing I leave you with a couple of his songs.

Bless you,
John

This first one is one of my favorites! I think you'll like it.
