I am originally from Lumberton, North Carolina and attended Western Carolina University where I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Primary Education. While still in school I enjoyed an active role in music and I have been involved in local church activities since I was a small child. I consider my faith in God as the most important aspect of my life.
God has given me the gift to be a songwriter but not necessarily a performer - so you will hear a variety of talented artists singing my songs.
In 2003, when we began to receive news of U.S. casualties in the Middle East, I was compelled to write a song of support and gratitude for the sacrifice our military men and women make - to me each one is an "American Hero".
Even though I can't say I agree with the political infighting over this war, I absolutely want to encourage and support our brave soldiers. By late 2006, wanting to get a message of encouragement to our troops, some friends and I were led to have "American Hero" recorded in Nashville and we recently sent 20,000 copies to U.S. troops deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan.
A local radio station created and recorded a wonderful introductory message of hope and gratitude. The CDs were distributed in cooperation with AdoptaPlatoon organization. Responses from troops have been appreciative and we believe God used our effort to minister to them.
During the many conversations we've had with military support groups it became clear that one of the most surprising outcomes of this war has been an incredibly high number of severely wounded troops - and, in turn, families faced with unbelievable hardship. Once again I was led to use music to help our troops and their families.
We carefully selected 11 more songs I had written about faith in God, His encouragement in times of need, courage in the face of fear, and hope for the future - we created an album we hope conveys the message that in the midst of the most difficult situations, because of God's grace, we can still have "No Fear".
Recording of the "No Fear" album is complete and we are using it to raise funds for our severely wounded troops in cooperation with the
Coalition to Salute America's Heroes (CSAH).
Net proceeds from the purchase of every "No Fear" CD will be donated to CSAH in order to assist with the wonderful work they do to help our wounded vets and their families - they are facing incredible challenges for the rest of their lives.
Please check out my
website and purchase "No Fear" if you can help. Thank you and God bless you!

ps. As of September 19, 2007 I have made all the tracks on my "No Fear" CD available above, through SNOCAP, for Mp3 downloads. In addition, I have released a brand new patriotic song - Answer The Call.
Please download one or all and support our wounded troops.
