About Gregg Giordano
I was just 5 years old when I first heard "She Loves You" by the Beatles. Every time I heard that song I had to play it on the drums. I would use my Mothers pots and wooden macaroni spoons to play to the song. Well of course I had no clue what I was doing, but my Mother saw that I had a talent for music. She started out with drum lessons. My teacher was Carmine Appice before he went on to be famous with Vanilla Fudge. I lasted for about 3 years with Carmine before I decided that I want to play more than what I was being taught. By the time I was 12, music was changing with bands like Zeppelin and Deep Purple and Jimi Hendrix, so I was really impressed by all of that. I kept on playing and being influenced by these bands, but I started to want more, so I picked up the bass guitar and then started learning the guitar, and then the piano, so by the time I was 16, I pretty much can play the basic's I became a studio drummer when I was 18, by sheer luck. During my studio days, I did work for Dan Fogelberg, Christopher Cross, David Bowie, Kenny Loggins, Rick Springfield and a lot of unknowns at the time. It paid well being a ghost musician, but my being exposed to the industry just left a bad taste in my mouth with all kinds of drugs, sex and what not, that just didn't sit well with me. I met my wife Denise and knew my life was going to change. We got married 1987 and have a son Frank 17 and a daughter Angelica 9. I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior in 1991. I had an emptyness in my life but Denise led me to Jesus by visiting a local church that had a play called "Heavens Gates & Hells Flames". Well at the end when the pastor said "does any one here feel they need Jesus?" well I just jumped out of my seat. I decided to use my talents for God. I started writing music with positive lyrics, and deep spiritual meaning, and to date have written close to 400 songs. I got involved with praise and worship in 1992 and became the worship leader at my church in 1999. I still hold that position today. praise God!!! Between juggling my ministry and family, I know that God has a plan and a purpose for me. I have enrolled in Trinity Bible Collage an Seminary, and I am studying to be a pastor, and hope to one day pastor a church. One of my greatest blessing's was having my Son Frank follow in my foot-steps and picking up the drums. Nothing could make me prouder than to serve God with my son. My long time desire to become a pastor of music is getting closer,,,praise God!!!
