About Rebekah Downing
Rebekah Downing is a singer/songwriter from the pineywoods of East Texas. Born and raised on Southern Gospel music, it was no surprise when she was asked to join The Stanleys, a Southern Gospel mixed quartet based out of East Texas, that she graciously accepted and soon became known for her powerhouse vocals and annointed songwriting. She has written numerous songs since becoming the soprano singer for The Stanleys, perhaps most known for her most requested song, "I'll Not Move". She takes no credit for any of them, stating that she is just an instrument GOD has used to write them on paper. "I am completely amazed that He would use me like He does, I am in awe".

After traveling for a little over five years, she made the decision in November 2007 to come off the road to focus on raising her three young children and spending more time with her family. Just recently, Rebekah has announced she will be traveling with the popular, newly regrouped New Day Spirituals. It is her desire to spread the Gospel of JESUS CHRIST to all who will listen and prays they will be blessed in unimaginable ways.

Hi Rebekah,

I really enjoyed your chord progressions, some of them surprised me (that doesn't happen very often), enjoyed the smooth transitions. This was a treat to listen to, the message was strong - let's keep writing and hopefully help in wrapping up this sin problem...
