General Interests
It's been a long bumpy road, but I made it to 57. I ascribe to the following philosophy: Things could be better, but they could be worse, a whole lot worse. God is the one constant in life and I am clinging to Him with all my strength, for without God, I would never make it. Does that make me weak? No, I think that makes me resolute. I am determined to finish the race that is before me. John 15:5.
Music
Love classical music and smooth, instrumental jazz. Enjoy listening to most genre. Grew up on 70's rock. Big on Christian rock: Thousand Foot Krutch, Pillar, Red, Kutless. Fav Christian groups right now are Relient K and Telecast.
Books
Now reading Billy Graham's HOLY SPIRIT. Recently finished Billy Graham's DEATH AND THE LIFE AFTER. Recently finished listening to an audio dramatization of THE SCREWTAPE LETTERS by CS Lewis.
Movies/TV
All superhero movies. Old classics e. Gone With the Wind. Big Laurel & Hardy and Abbot & Costella fan. Favorite movie of all time: It's A Wonderful Life with Jimmy Stewart & Donna Reed.

There Are No McDonald's in Heaven : Waiting on God (2012)
God doesn't always operate as quickly as we would like. Scripture talks extensively about all the ingredients we need to effectively wait for God's perfect timing. Delays do not mean 'no' and often occur by design. In There Are No McDonald's in Heaven I talk about utilizing your faith and trust in God along with other key traits that must be cultivated to ease the angst associated with waiting.

There Are No McDonald's In Heaven: Waiting on God (2012)
Waiting for anything can be a royal pain, but waiting on God is altogether different. We are dealing with an unseen deity who knows what we need and when we need it. That still doesn't make it any easier to wait. This book helps the reader understand the process to waiting more effectively.
There Are No McDonald's In Heaven: Waiting on God (2012)
Waiting on God can be difficult if you don't know how. My book shows you the available tools scripture provides and the Holy Spirit ignites to cultivate traits that help the believer wait patiently. Impatience is an ally of the enemy. God knows what He's doing.

I am typing my fingers off in an attempt to establish a career as an author. If it is God's will, then nothing in this world can stop it for taking place. I believe in myself and in my writing abilities for they are from God. Anything I do in this li... (login or sign up to read more)

My life as I know it ...   7/31/2012 - 8:11 AM
I am here for the first time jotting down some random thoughts. My first book is nearly ready to hit the store shelves. I am humbled by all that has been going on lately. God has been very kind to me. He has used me in a few small ways and hopefully ... (login or sign up to read more)

This months trail mix for your journey on the Narrow Path is titled "The Pain behind my Smile...is still comforted by His hand in mine" was prayerfully and meticulously prepared His help, for you....Enjoy!

The smile on my face doesn't mean my life is perfect! It does mean that I do appreciate what I have and what Jehovah Jireh has blessed me with! (author unknown) Selah~Shalom!

I can testify that this is a fact. My life has been QUITE far from perfect; however, through His eyes and love, I appreciate the good as well as the bad moments in my life; the valleys as well as the mountaintop experiences; the joyful expressions of "Hallelujah's" intermixed with "God, where are you, I'm hurting, and only you can relieve the pain?"

It goes without saying that the path I walk has had its difficulties and moments of complete and utter despair, but also there have been those times where I was led to drink from the springs and rivers so timely placed to refresh, revive and lift me up!

There have been moments of complete respite in your arms; and because of this peace and comfort, I can most assuredly say, "I would have it no other way."

This is exactly where I want to be, in both the good and bad times, because I know that it is my Savior and Shepherd who holds me by my hands through it all!

I have no doubt, whatsoever, that Romans 8:28 (We know that in everything God works for good with those who love him, who are called according to his purpose - RSV) is meant for each of us as we traverse the Narrow, yet difficult Path through life that leads to heaven...Shalom!

Now, always be hopeful....and go, and sin no more!
