Brenda Dawson is a former middle school teacher and an accomplished horsewoman with a lifelong love for horses. She has been a jockey, barrel racer, and horse trainer. The horses in her book are based on real horses that she has owned or trained for the other people. Brenda lives on a farm in Tennessee with her family, where she continues to ride and train horses.
