Winning point in life happens at beginning of game   2/19/2008 - 9:21 AM
My son and I were discussing our father and son basketball game after it concluded at St. John' Lutheran School last evening. The 4th-6th grade team had won the game against their fathers 41 to 40. Jarod, who scored a basket in mid-game said, "If ... (login or sign up to read more)

The Final Lesson My Father Taught Me   1/31/2008 - 10:36 AM
On a late July weekend, I was at my parent's house on Silver Lake, near Hart, Michigan, on the dock loading up our fishing boat to venture out. My father made his way down to boat, no pole in hand, and asked to join me. "Want me to get you a fishi... (login or sign up to read more)

Happy New Year!

We all make New Year resolutions. But generally, within a few weeks they have all become casualties of our busy schedules, inconsistency or just plain 'ol lack of will power. So in light of this a most common pitfall, we thought we would ask our FB friends to ponder and answer the following question...

What is the smallest change with the greatest impact you can now make to bring you closer to a personal goal or just simply much needed change at home, at work or in life?

Link 2 us and be inspired!

Glad tidings and warm thoughts Fellow Authors,

We've decided to brave the cold. January 15 through 19, 2010 the Author Collective will shake hands with and share a cup of warm cider with 9,000 plus librarians of the northeast United States and elsewhere. The American Library Association Mid-Winter will be held in Boston, Massachusetts and what better way to showcase your book?

Past conventions have indicated that two specific genres are now in big demand, "Children" and "Urban" titles. As such we are planning to include a separate section in our booth dedicated to Urban Fiction and Non-Fiction plus books that instruct and educate children from pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade. We are now looking for authors who have such topics. If your writings fit these categories you should join the Author Collective TODAY!

Our goal is to help the self-published and un-known,under-known and soon to be well known author, get their craft in front of the people who make decisions to buy books in quantity. Sign up for the Author Collective today and get an extra month of membership FREE. That's right, join any time in December 2009 and your membership will not expire until January 1, 2011.

Don't let this opportunity pass you bye. Call me TODAY!
