I have been influenced by Erma Bombeck, Patsy Clairmont, Anita Renfroe, Beverly Cleary and Lucy Swindoll. There are so many great authors that have inspired me that I can't even name them all.

This is a crazy week for me. My oldest son gets married on Saturday! I'm singing in his wedding! Prayers are definitely needed for this young couple!

I am an ordinary woman who has been blessed by God. Many times when I thought I was done, Christ picked me up and told me it wasn't my time yet. Writing has been a part of my life since I was in grade school. I published Extraordinary Life Lessons from Ordinary Christian Women in November and am feverishly editing my latest Christian fictional work. You can order my book through me at my website.
I am married to the most wonderful man in the world--my Dale! He totally gets me and I'm glad because I wouldn't have it any other way. We've been married since 2007. We are kept busy with our three grandchildren (two girls and a boy) and our grown children as well as being active in our church. Life sometimes gets hectic, yet as long as I focus on Christ, I succeed.

It has been such a long time since I have written a blog on this site. I'm sure many people wonder if I'm still alive. The answer is yes, I am alive. Unfortunately this year has not been a kind one. The year didn't start off too badly. My New Year'...

Looking back isn't always a good thing. I'm reminded of Lot's wife who looked back at Sodom and was turned into a pillar of salt. Then again, looking back and learning from mistakes can be good for learning. Every year I try to take inventory of my ...
