About Me
I have two major passions. #1. Supporting adult survivors of child abuse as they return to the original self. #2. Supporting the use of the natural gifts we were awarded when we were fearfully and wonderfully made.

As an emerging author, my book titles, Where Is My Baby?-Conversations of babies in heaven and OUTSPOKEN- How The Secrets I Never Told Until Now Almost Destroyed Me, among others in the pipeline, are dedicated to adults living in the aftermath of child abuse and neglect.

Where is my baby?- Conversations of babies in heaven is my contribution to the fight to deter and abolish what I term the ultimate child abuse- abortion. It is the true story of a woman awakening out of an abortion procedure only to find she was more attached than she knew to the fetus she once carried and in agonizing regret searches frantically for her baby. Now she issues a global apology to the spirits of her babies many years after murdering them in her womb and tells the divinely inspired short stories of aborted children as she gains insight into the lives and conversations of babies in heaven.

As an activist and advocate for the spiritual restoration of adult survivors of child abuse, the sacrifice of my stories is offered to increase awareness to the painful challenges of at risk adults who are struggling in bewilderment, silently groping alone in the wilderness of the aftermath of abuse.

Because we forget that the abuse does not end in childhood, these hurting persons are usually victimized all over again by an impatient society that urges them to just get over it. Once again, often like the abuser in childhood, the unempathetic community forces them to remain silent about their emotional struggles. But the struggles are not really silent for they find other ways to manifest and we are all the worst off for it.

An abuse survivor's ability to positively contribute to society is severly hampered as trauma has interrupted normal development. Many are in a state of stagnation, emotinally crippled, have no sense of who they really are and can't conceive that they have purpose. Can you imagine an adult of over forty being termed an adolescent? Adult children, Dr. Charles Whitfield terms them. That, because they are stuck in the phase of the trauma? It is unrealistic for to expect such a one to function at full potential; they have to be taught all over again how to feel and how to behave.Imagine a perfectly healthy, happy person got injured in a car wreck, suffered some physical injuries and had to be rehabilitated with pysical therapy. They had to be patiently supported as they are taught how to walk again, perhaps even how to feed themselves again. The same kind of patient support is needed for the emotional injury suffered by adult survivors of child abuse.

OUTSPOKEN Ministries, born out of the book, OUTSPOKEN-how the secrets I never told until now almost destroyed me, was started to encourage the unveiling of the traumatic event/events that robbed the abused of their confidence, their self worth and their God given gifts. It supports telling the story, admitting that unspeakable things did happen to them, then begin or continue the orginal self renewal process.

The truth about the effects of abuse must be told. Telling the truth becomes the major weapon against the evil suffered, as well as the most significant lifeline for recovery. Truth also calls us to accountability and enables us to self evaluate even as it provides an opportunity for repentance. Truth is, harldy any healing can take place without confrontation. This truth works for both the abused and the abuser.

Adult survivors make many mistakes as a result of the neglect they suffered as children including repeating the abuse cycle. Many who were abused end up becoming abusers. It is for this reason that the abuser cannot be left out of the reformation effort. Therefore, as I tell my stories, abusers get to see how they really impact a person's life and can make the choice for change.

Join me on this OUTSPOKEN journey to care for one another my Christian brothers and sisters! We have a nation to help heal and we each can do something toward that goal. But, understand that survivors of abuse don't need pity. Rather, they need your prayers, your understanding and your support in any form you can imagine. Thanks & God Bless You!

NO CONDEMNATION   10/12/2009 - 6:09 PM
We cannot condemn but we must not condone. It is because some are yet ignorant that it becomes our responsibility as Christians to go into all the world to educate and enlighten. We bring the stinging truth that confronts as well as the balm that hea... (login or sign up to read more)

ABORTION   10/11/2009 - 11:41 AM
When will we finally make the connection that abortion is murder of a growing child? How many more lives must be lost before we stop the brutal slaying of children? Why are we so horrified by memories and discussions of the holocaust and of genocide ... (login or sign up to read more)

Winsome are you looking for an agent? Have you published yet? This is my first. I have thought about looking for an agent but not sure where to begin. If you're interested the book is available at amazon, and barnes and noble. Also I do have an interview with a church next week to see if they will carry my book.

Thank you for your wonderful message! Yes, I am truly about giving Jesus the glory and making His name famous all over the world. In addition, I believe sharing my testimony via song in a pure and honest way is what God has called me to do. I have certainly been healed from some rough situations. Praise God! Please tell others about KCM Ministries- I would appreciate the support. Be blessed! In Him, Kelly
