There are so many, ultimately God but to name a few others: Brian Doerksen, Wayne Watson, Dallas Holm, Don Francisco, David Meece, Casting Crowns, Chris Christian, Michael Card, Scott Wesley Brown, Silverwind, Daniel's Band, Amy Grant, Michael W Smith, DeGarmo and Key, Petra, Steve Green, Steve Camp, Chuck Girard, Gaither Vocal Band, Keith Green and the Imperials started my Christian music walk. In the (other category - lol): Prism, Savage Garden, Bon Jovi, U2, Trooper, Heart, Toronto, Reo Speedwagon, ZZ Top, Loverboy, Streetheart, Foreigner, Journey, Genesis, Survivor, Alabama, Exile, this list could keep on going and going and going......

Hey and hi there. What's to say?!?
Music has been a driving force in my life since I can remember. There were many times that it rallied for God when the preacher couldn't. I'm not saying that the sermon was a waste, just not quite filling enough. *I hope you understand what I mean.....*
Even moreso than the music was the radical change that Jesus brought to me when I was still an early teen. He changed the view permanently! I'm not saying that there weren't any fluctuations, no there were warm and cool times as I grew up but there was always the firm Foundation, the One that stood fast no matter how much I swayed. The two things that rattle, shake and secure me are; (1) My Lord, the One that I can always count on through thick and thin. (2) The cross, the ground zero where everything and everyone are equal - no matter what you or I have done, the place where I can be realigned and goals reset, where I remember that His way is the only way. From here He will raise me up to walk in His Presence. My God, the cross and a repentant me mixed with a whole lot of grace = salvation, deliverance, acceptance and freedom for His glory. Are there any better topics out there? ;)
The guitar's attraction caught me as a young child at my uncle's house and when they came to visit us. When I think back on it I suppose he was my first 'teacher'. I plunked through Alfred's Basic Book One twice with different teachers before taking up the task of teaching myself with the help of friends, acquaintances, jam sessions and whatever I could watch and learn from.
Music writing started around the time I married Carol about twenty years ago. I read somewhere that a song is not a song unless it tears you apart and then rebuilds you. I find my music writing surrounds the cross, conversation with God and experience (where rubber meets the road). If there is one thing that I would desire most for a listener to gain from listening, it would be a deeper understanding that God is really interested in us personally, His Presence remains by our side even if we choose to acknowledge Him or not. He loves, cares for and protects each one of us - moment by moment.
I have a son (Morgan) who is beginning to drive and he's also attempting to help me record some video work so that I might be able to put some visual imaging together with the words that He has poured out of my pen, each one I've felt is a gift from Him. Ha, this seems to be taking a waaaayyy lot longer than I had expected!
I have uploaded a few homemade tracks, more to come in the near future and will probably change from time to time, I hope and pray that they will be a blessing to you. Thought that I would add in here that Battlezone was meant to be an opener, and that is my reason for the long intro. Drop by again, leave a note and thanks for your interest.

NEED WASHING?
A little girl had been shopping with her Mom in Target. She must have
been 6 years old, this beautiful red haired, freckle faced image of
innocence. It was pouring outside. The kind of rain that gushes over
the top of rain gutters, ...

Stellar Kart has solid lyrics, solid message and solid sound! You should listen to their song Innocent; it is so awesome, not my favorite but it has a real good meassage to it. I do sing a little. I just need a little training. I've been playing piano for 5yrs & guitar for about a month. I wanna become a Chirstian music artist after I graduate from college (that's like a decade away so I have tons of time to practice)! You don't like rap?! omg! whatever. What's your favorite song that Skillet sings? What other instruments do you play besides guitar?
What do you like to do just for fun? Sorry if I'm asking so many questions, I'm big talker....:)
