It's original music. Hard to compare our sound to anyone else. I've heard the name "Huey Lewis" but clearly God's blessed us with a unique sound of our own.

I'm a husband, father, Believer, teacher, singer/songwriter, Director of a nonprofit (Redwood Gospel Mission in Santa Rosa, CA), encourager, activist. Writing songs since the age of 14, dedicating my life to Jesus at the age of 43, blessed more than I deserve. Rock, Pop and Blues are my favorite genres. Current band Teachur (http://www.teachur.com) is busy working on our new CD entitled "Humanity/Insanity" (http://humanity-insanity.teachur.com). Samples can be found here on Shoutlife.
An avid Christian hater much of my adult life, it's amazing that the Lord even chose me at all. LOL In a moment, after reading the closing paragraph in Josh McDowell's "More Than a Carpenter", I went from being a life-long skeptic and Christian hater to on-fire for the Lord in the blink of an eye! I remember the moment vividly, how the room seemed to become a blur as my life shifted 180 degrees in that moment and I was suddenly standing in my bedroom in a face-to-face with our Lord Jesus Christ, my heart suddenly on fire for Him. My next thought was "What did he say while He was here?", as I remembered the red letters were His in the Bible. My next thought? "I've got to find a church for my family!" Where on Earth did those thoughts come from? This life-long Christian hater was suddenly and abruptly transformed in a moment, falling face first in love with Jesus!
10 years later, after having told the story many times, I suddenly wondered "What was that last thing I read before the Lord made me His?" I still have the book, so I went to it and opened up to the last page. I was floored to see that the last thing I read was the Sinner's Prayer! I couldn't believe my eyes. I read that which is commonly known as the method to give your life to Christ, and not intentionally giving my life to Christ, but just reading those words and I suddenly was set on fire for Jesus Christ!
Today I'm blessed to be Director of the Redwood Gospel Mission men's programs, a 40 bed long-term Christ centered 12 Step treatment program for recovery from drug and alcohol and other addictions. I also oversee feeding, clothing and providing shelter to the homeless population in our city of 175,000 and am responsible for overseeing Jail Ministries at Sonoma County Jail, as well.
A far cry from the skeptic Christian hater I once was, the Lord had plans for me and He had His way with me, with or without my permission! :-)
I'm also blessed to lead praise and worship for my band Teachur (www.teachur.com) and to serve in my church praise band at Sebastopol Christian Church in Sebastopol, CA.
Definitely blessed more than I deserve, I enjoy serving our community in every way that God has made for me to serve. I look forward to being with Jesus one day, and until then I love how His Holy Spirit guides and directs and protects and corrects me while I plod through this life.
Blessings...

Half-measures availed us nothing. Bill and Bob got that from both personal experience and observation of others and in God's Holy Word, the Bible. The Lord warns us that if we are lukewarm He will spit us out of His mouth. He states emphatically that...

Matthew 6:34 is where this AA slogan came from. In fact, literally all of the 12 Steps came from the Bible. That's where Bill and Bob found them. "So don't worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today's trouble is enough for t...

As Director of a Christ-centered 12 Step long-term drug/alcohol recovery center, I have to laugh when we're referred to as "faith-based recovery". All 12 Step programs (AA, NA, CA, FA, etc.) are faith-based programs. Many, however, have become comple...
